He just sounds like a nightmare dad, despite doing his best to present himself as the victim here. The comment about Harry being his family whether he liked it or not? And 'what was happening was not making me happy@. He sounds like a self centred man, I think she may be much better off with no contact.

Well he's certainly not helping things by continuing to talk to the press.

Again interested in why people have such negative feelings about her? I dont think we have really heard enough directly from her to judge her, seems like there has just been a lot of speculation and crap in the press about her and some of it has stuck. If you have toxic family, it isnt a bad idea to cut off contact with them. And it surely isnt surprising that someone who can make it in a tough profession isnt going to sit back and let journos say whatever they like about her.

OMG, and now he is saying she owed him the $20,000 she gave him because he paid for her stuff growing up. What a jerk he seems to be. Poor her. Whatever she is like, and I dont think we really know that, no one deserves family like this.

If MM posted about her family on here, she'd be pointed in the direction of the Stately Homes threads. Her dad comes across as self-centred and narcissistic. Even if She is a horrible person (of which I haven't seen any real evidence), what kind of parent would behave in this way?

I think he's coming across fine. His daughter froze him out when she married in to royalty and money and hasn't looked back. What's he done wrong?

Set up fake pap pictures, said she owes him for funding the costs of supporting her when she was growing up, sold a private letter she wrote him, been generally irresponsible and tried to guilt her into doing stuff through talking to the press?

Talked to press about their private business.
Sold pap pics, and lied to her about it.
Sold "poor me"stories to the press.
Made it impossible for her to contact him as she won't know if everything will be sold on, perhaps recorded.
Suggested she should pay for the normal costs of childhood.
Failed to condemn his other daughter for her bizarre campaign of attacks.
Sold a private letter to the Daily Mail.

She and harry could see her poor Dad was being hounded and did nothing to support him.

I don't think he's coming across "well" as such more like the poor guy had this all dumped on him and no coping mechanisms in place. The irony of Meghan saying on camera "no one asked if I was ok" to Tom Brady when who the fuck has ever asked if her poor dad is ok. Not even his own daughter or son in law. Will they be happy when he's 6 feet under, the poor bugger.

I feel sorry for him.
He didn't ask to be hounded by the press and had no support from M & H. If you have no experience of the press it's easy to be pressured by them as they are highly manipulative.
It's clear that he doesn't want to be estranged from Meghan. Ok he's not perfect and has made some mistakes but he has also done a lot for Meghan. He has been very ill and she doesn't seem to have been there for him.

I don't think he fits with Meghan's planned trajectory.

I think she's treated him appallingly as has Harry whatever supposed wrong he has done.
