A question about Harry and Meghan and photos etc.

I know, we have hardly had any threads on this .But I was just wondering whilst reading the BBC.
It says H&M have issued a warning to the media over pics published of her out walking the dogs and baby. ( I had a google, saw the pictures).
Now, apparently the photographers, those sneaky chaps, were hiding in the bushes. She had two security guards with her, surely its their job to keep her safe? This surprised me, I think I’d be annoyed if someone could lurk in bushes and I had paid security with me.
Also, she appears to be looking directly at the cameras and smiling. She is certainly smiling directly in the direction of the cameras. And smiling quite a bit, not just an inane smile as I might have whilst out daydreaming/ walking. It seems as though she knew they were there. If it was Jo Bloggs just taking a photo to show his mum would that be allowed?
Even the security seem to be looking right at the cameras.
Also, is it illegal to just take a picture of people? People take photos of celebrities/ the royals all the time. And sometimes post them/ sell them, and it has never been mentioned. If someone took a picture of me walking down the street and sold it, could I stop them?!
Surely celebs are snapped all the time? When they want and when they don’t want?

She blatantly knew they were there, as she was smiling for them....

Seriously! Who the fuck does she think she is going for a walk - unbelievable. you couldn't make up her sense of entitlement walking her dogs with her baby. No wonder you are all thrilled she is gone. if she can do that she could do anything.

The strap is looser on one side than the other so it's possible she had been feeding him while in the sling - loosen on one side, let baby wiggle down just enough to latch.

As for smiling at the cameras she could have been smiling at the baby or at the dogs, voice shouts "hey Meghan" and she looks over still smiling there's the photo an image of a single split second that does not show what happened next. I'd bet money that the following photographs on the camera show a very different facial expression but of course they're going to print the one that best suits their narrative.

I think the warning claims that she is being harassed and that the photographers are trying to photograph inside the house, rather than simply complaining about her photo being taken in a public place.

It does seem odd though, the photos look very staged and it can hardly be a shock to them that media interest remains high.

The fact that they are claiming to have issued a legal warning means NOTHING. it’s all part of the game. The suckers on here sympathising with poor Meghan and how they don’t blame her for wanting to leave the UK to escape all this - you are playing right into their hands.

I actually though 'she'd' staged the photos. Was really surprised when I heard about them trying to suppress the press from these types of photos

The deal not to photograph royal children, while at uni or with long lenses was respected by British media but overseas they are fair game. She knows the attention will be there and they need it to kick start their private funding stream. Once the initial hype dies down they could be pretty "lonely".

That's not my point at all. Go for your walk etc etc but accept that you might well be photographed today because you are still newsworthy. Put up with it now, without the drama and tales of suing people and in a few weeks no one will want to photograph you because you'll be old Jews. Unless of course the aim is to remain in the news....

I was confused about who the warning to the media was aimed at? Anyone can take a pic of them, are they telling the press not to publish such pictures?

There really are some unhinged people on these threads.

I haven't commented on any threads or said a word because I do not know anyone involved, but Megan reminded me of a woman I used to know, who didn't get on with her family and had no childhood friends. She used to get really close to people and then disappear off completely and never look back.
I often wondered why she had no contact with anyone or spoke about old friends. She didn't have any.

It must have been nice for Megan to have a family around her, even if it was only for while.

Hang on did someone say on this thread that Kate sued about photos? Jesus maybe they are all entitled bitches. I did hope Kate was different because she just seems so fragrant somehow.

I have to say, having looked again at the pics she looks like she doesn't have the first idea how to use that carrier. Archie is in a dreadful position.

Probably because she was paid to wear it for the photos and its not actually something she uses regularly. Celebs do it all the time.

In the UK it's not illegal to take pictures of people in public, even children. Other countries probably have different laws. I thought the paparazzi agreed voluntarily to no more candid shots of royals after what happened to Diana, I may be wrong though.

Those shots were from very far away. There is video footage. But I don't doubt she tipped the photographer off as why on earth would a pap be hiding up a tree in a national park on the off chance sge might go for a walk there.

I think Harry is being a fool. I don't blame him for wanting out. He was born into the RF and until now never had a choice and genuinely wants a different life. I also think she has manipulated him and its going to end in tears.

Are they actually suing though? Thought they were just threatening to.

When I say the paparazzi agreed, what I meant was the newspapers agreed not to buy the pictures any longer.
