New tiny kitten

Hello! We have acquired a teeny kitten (supposedly 9 weeks old) but she’s the runt and is very small.
i haven’t weighed her, we only got her today.
We’ve kitten proofed the lounge and are keeping the dog and the other cat away.
She has one snotty eye which I’m cleaning every couple of hours with cooled saline solution
I’ve bought kitten milk and dry and wet food (the same as she was having where she came from).
Shes done a wee and a loose poo in the litter tray and mostly slept. She wasn’t interested in the food or water or saucer of milk so I syringed about 5ml warm kitten milk into her and that woke her up a bit. she then ate a little wet food.

are we doing the right things?

Time to worry is when a full grown cat can nestle under your chin(s)!

I’d love full grown cats to lie on me. DD said today when she retires (she’s nine haha!) she plans to be a cat lady.

@Fatiguedwithlife your daughter needs to get into Siamese and orientals they generally don’t leave you alone and want to spend most of their time with you , by far the best cats for crazy cat people

Awww, one of them always did but the other would only settle on my lap if I needed to get up and do something. We have since rescued a young cat who is now five, had him for a year and he loves a cuddle on a lap in the evening and is incredibly playful indoors and out ❤️

Penelope decided to sleep on my neck last night. She’s never done that before. I think she was trying to asphyxiate me in revenge for leaving her for 36 hours. (With multiple timed feeders)

Crazy cat lady is a better life goal than almost every other job

I’m currently crazy dog lady as I appear to be collecting them, way better than working

She’s getting fatter 💗 very playful yet still a cuddly baby

Makes me feel all squishy inside. I'd love a kitten (we have a 23 year old and an 15 year old). But we hope to move to Australia in 2028 so I am wibbling about the process of taking any pets. Our 23 year old is unlikely to be with us, and I understand that some of the Cunard ships have kennels and catteries on board so if we take the younger one I'd probably do that.

It’s a huge decision (and cost) to transport animals across the world! I’d probably wait til you get back.

How well you have done to take that tiny scrap to the point of being a happy health contented little kitty. And kudos to your cat for pitching in on the care

They are just showing off because their colourings and markings complement your duvet cover so nicely .

It is lovely to see them so close , Penny has obviously decided that Merlin is a protector and friend as long as it suits her
