Show me your best kitten toys please!

I've got a new kitten - photo attached as tax - and looking for some great toys. We've got balls, a crinkle tunnel, cat nip mice and da bird. I'm looking for maybe one of those 3 tier things with balls in that roll around. And anything else that is recommended.

My cats also like the brown packing paper 'den' idea - occasionally I tidy it away for a week or so and then return it refreshed for playing in. Then it's a novelty again!

The springs were very popular on the wooden floor when the kitten was young and one still likes chewing on this hard worm/snake teething toy and tossing it around.

Older cat loves the rigid cardboard scratchers and destroys one about every 3-4 weeks!

Most favourite seems to be where there's either a ball or a toy with a string and second toggle/toy which they can fling about. These get played with to destruction but are hard to find to buy.
Hide and seek games - chairs with blankets on/boxes - plus another cat to play with

All of my cats love (or loved) the springs! The current baby brings them to me at all hours to throw down the stairs. Periodically we retrieve 10s of them from under the sofas and bed.
We have a ball tiered thing which she loves now, though didnt play much with it when she was a kitten.
I tried the flappy chirping bird toy I saw online and all I did was distress the dog who stands guard over the noisy thing.

Youll have to find out your kitten’s toy preference. I had a cat that would retrieve only his collar and one particular mouse toy. My youngest cat’s favourite is pipe cleaners, and one type of mouse toy. My girl cat just likes a particular type of pom pom and the little mouse toys that have a rattle.
We (my DH actually- I have made a cat-man of him!) got a great toy for their Christmas present that was £26 and it has a feather thing on the top that spins round, a cat nip ball beneath that, and a little feather thing that pops out from different holes in the bottom. It’s got different settings too. All the cats approve, it’s great entertainment for them and us!
oh and feather things on a elastic thing, run round the house with kitten in pursuit, it is the best.
my youngest cats like to play peepo, so I peep at him on the stairs or round a corner, or under a bed sheet, hide, peep out and he comes chasing, it’s the best fun (yes, I’m a completely crazy cat lady and I’m ok with it 😂).
also invest in a cat tower if you haven’t already - when they get the zoomies, they love racing up the cat tower.

They have slightly different toy preferences normally but both think this is brilliant.

Our Siamese like anything with a bell on the end of a string to chase and for their birthday in Nov I bought them a cat curl ( bad picture included) , which has proven very popular . I got it on Amazon . The girl also likes birds that tweet but her favourite thing is watching cat Tv .

All the cat fosterers at the rescue I volunteer for get issued with one of those! The cats love them.

They use it as a scratch board, to sit on, but also enjoy the hidden ball element . My more excitable skitten will come running as soon as she hears the balls being put in.

With the wand toy we have to ration length of play because the same kitten doesn’t have an off button when she sees it and ends up flopped on the floor panting like a dog!

Son and his partner have one, her favourite toy is a little stuffed pitta 🥙 bread toy with dangly bits

My Whippet also thinks that toy is ace, but it’s too small for a dog.

Make sure you worm the kitten-
Son’s partner got theirs as a rescued one , and she thought as cat is a house cat that she’d not need worming..

Cat did a poo that was literally alive with roundworms-

She’s wormed routinely now.

Which reminds me- Whippet is due a wormer with her next meal!

my two love springs but aren’t interested in balls at all. They enjoy their car towers but for sleeping on and window watching rather than playing. I really think it’s trial and error with cats they are all so different

My son and his partner’s cat doesn’t like catnip!
They are definitely all different.
I bought her a shearling fleece to lie on for Christmas- she does use it, but with cats, it’s anyone’s guess!

adopted my lovely boy a year ago , already have 2 beautiful black cats , he loves the soft furry balls and the stuffed toy carrot from pets at home ,
I’ve had many cats and they all like different toys so now we have loads so all 3 can find their preference ( I love cats )

I don’t have a cat ( have a Whippet which is about as feline a dog as it’s possible to get) but Burmese are very canine - my brother’s Burmese retrieves thrown toys like a dog and brings them to him to throw again

When we went to meet ours, the Female Cat spent ages playing with a marble track toy with my DD, being all cute'n'kitteny even though she was an adult cat
She (FemaleCat) was lulling us into a false sense of security !

Toys for FemaleCat- bags especially chiller bags, milk bottle plastic lids , elastic bands ,
MaleCat - red pointer light , DD feet (he attacks the sofa , gets told "No" then attacks DD feet . Gets told "No" then attacks the sofa ...there's a theme )

They are aghast at flippy fish toy .

He is Noah , he’s a rescue as are my other cats , he’s so beautiful but nervous , his purr is so loud when he’s happy
