Larry the number 10 cat and the Starmers’ cat JoJo.

I read the Prime Minister plans to bring his cat Jojo to 10 Downing Street. Just wondering how Jojo and Larry will adjust to one another.

I assume it depends on the cats personalities.

Larry will be in charge. He has that air about him.

Have you seen the video of Larry chasing off the fox? Or the one of him taking out Palmerston?

Unless JoJo is TC/Gizmo's big sister, I'm betting on Larry.

Presumably Jojo will live in the upstairs flat (with a cat flap and catio arrangement out of a window?) and Larry downstairs, with just (lol!) the garden to share?

If his wife and children are intending to stay in their won home. I imagine the cat would also stay there too.

Wasn't there a cat who got sent to live elsewhere because he didn't get on with Larry? I think it was the Foreign Office cat.

DH and I were discussing this yesterday.

One of our cats would just live in the apartment which would be fine.

But the other would be loudly marching up and down Downing St, interrupting press conferences and beating up Larry and Palmerston.

It would be a political disaster.

I wonder if other countries have the same thing with cats in their government buildings. It's one of the things I love about this country.

Larry has released a statement welcoming Jojo.

I saw a comment on a local blog stating Jojo was
terrorising his neighbourhood but the linked article had disappeared. Anyone know anything. I would hate Larry to be bullied in his old age!

I loved how Larry was waiting to be let in on the steps of No.10 when they were waiting for Starmer to come out to the lectern to speak after winning.

Maybe the Starmer kids were fans of Dance Moms. So JoJo is named after the dancer with the bow in her hair ? Maybe. If so it would be cute if JoJo the cat wears a bow in her collar.
