Struggling to think of a name for my incoming boy. It's currently Teddy, which I don't like.

Immediately thought Moses before even reading the other replies.

blueshadesintheroom · 09/05/2024 23:34

We used to have a cat called Zachariah!

JoniBlue · 10/05/2024 00:38

Simon is good, though I'd call him Norman.

She asked me how’s the cat been
I said Moses he’s just fine

That song made me cry as I once left a man and had to leave my cat behind. 😿. I got him home eventually though. He was a Simon.

Magnifi(cat)

Like the late Doorkins Magnificat, the Southwark Cathedral cat.

Iscariot. Because however adorable he is, he would totally sell you out for a handful of Dreamies.

Obadiah

Toddlerteaplease · 10/05/2024 06:35

I could rename Penelope Priscilla and call him Aquilla

He might end up being a Satan or Beelzebub :)!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/05/2024 12:17

Bub for short.

Swearwolf · 10/05/2024 13:10

Balthazar for sure!

sendismylife · 10/05/2024 14:06

I like Ezekiel, but Habakkuk would be pleasantly frickative to say when he is naughty!

Overtheatlantic · 10/05/2024 14:07

Jakob

CornflakesOnTheSolesOfHerShoes · 10/05/2024 14:14

Bartholomew. Obviously!

BaleOfHay · 10/05/2024 14:18

I know it's not biblical, but Ozymandius, because all cats believe they are King of Kings

londonmummy1966 · 10/05/2024 15:13

Baal - as he clearly expects you to bow down and worship him...

Balthazar would be my choice though.

If you'd choose God if it weren't for offending the Bish then you could go for Gad instead.

ViveLaOeuf · 10/05/2024 15:29

Eli

TheLongRider · 10/05/2024 21:46

You could always go for Saint's names or Popes.

@TheLongRider, Pius. Why didn't think of that. Pius V, as he'll be my fifth cat as an adult. That makes me sad as 5 cats in 8 years is a a lot. Magic & Maia would have been 13 and Cheddar 12.
