Sorry photo isn’t of The Queen!

We are stock piling the recycling outside the door because we can’t possibly disturb her. She’s asleep in the washing basket inside our tiny utility room.

My now elderly dog used to come with me whenever i took out the recycling or rubbish. She had great recall. Now she can't see well or hear at all, and it's a bit much to harness her up to make the 30 second round trip, so i sneak the rubbish out so as not to make her feel left out!

Oh @dudsville that’s so sweet. I actually love how we make our lives a bit harder for their wellbeing 💕

Well you have obviously been trained properly by your furry feline monarch, of course she must have undisturbed sleep!
I have horizontal blinds in the front room which I tend to keep nearly closed as I am close to the street and I like my privacy. Except for when I had my little love, now deceased, then I kept the bottom 3 or 4 slats open so he could look out

@Pudmyboy I love the photo of your little one watching the world go by through the open slats, what a sweetie. They’re so nosy aren’t they? Complete unashamed people watchers.

I love this thread already. It restores my shaky faith in the world. The nicest people put their animals first.
Here is my lovely Lily sunning herself on the conservatory sofa. You can see the little white stool in front of the sofa so that she can get up and down more easily as she had a hard life before coming to me and her back legs have had surgery.

Ahh isn’t Lily lovely!!
I think our street thinks we’re crazy as we’re always standing outside at random times.
we’re actually chaperoning our old boy whose back legs are wonky but who is convinced it’s sunny and wonderful out the front and needs to investigate it every day

Thank you, yes he was such a sweetheart! He actually preferred to people-watch from an armchair which is just out of view, and yes when he was on the armchair I did crouch down so I could check the open slats were at his eye level. I like to think I have an 'A' level in being a cat slave!

DH went to go to sleep in the spare room because of my snoring but he came back because he couldn't disturb the cat.

It's next door's cat!

More than once I've abandoned the vacuuming because one of my cats is sleeping where I want to clean. Same with changing the beds..

It would be completely unreasonable to disturb Captain Camouflage. Why do beds need making, anyway?

I often don't get out of bed for an hour and a half after waking because the cat is sleeping in the crook of my arm.

I love that you call her the Queen. I think my girl is quite cross now as we call her Bobbins on the basis that her brain full of, well, bobbins.

Boy does get called his Lordship though.

Ds is 21 and currently home from uni.
He is not a fan of our current dog, mainly because he replaced our previous dog which was ds' true love and who died.

He grumbles about the dog often.

yeatserday morning I got up and ds bedroom door was open. He was lying on the bed squeezed between dog on one side (he is a LARGE dog) and kitten on the other, sleeping at a very odd angle to accommodate the animals 😍

The night before our last cat suffered an irrecoverable stroke I found her curled up fast asleep in the middle of teenage DS’ bed while he contorted his lanky self in a most uncomfortable-looking ‘C’ shape around her.

”Well,” he said. “She is old. I don’t want to disturb her.”

We were glad to remember that the following day.
