@TheShellBeach I am very impressed that you have got your lovely cat to go in a thing designed for a cat!
Maybe you should contact the manufacturer and offer Linney up as a model?

I did try a lovely donut bed once but it was rejected even when I stuffed it with a bit of catnip! ( As was the igloo, cardboard scratch, scratching post, Furry mice toys, flippy fish... basically anything sold for cats!)

@Breadcat24 I put it in the very place where he curls up at night, in our bedroom, so I was cheating a bit.

We've been doing a bit of clearing out today and this box has become free.
Sybil has decided that it's her box now.
If it were labelled 'box for cats' she wouldn't have gone near it 😆

Maybe when Basil was supervising you earlier he was expecting you to knock out a rota for box occupation?

Breadcat is however partial to an old pillow stuffed up a bin liner. She is occasionally a cheap date.
She also likes any bed in a guest bedroom that I have just put fresh linen on about an hour before guests arrive.

My MIL is not a cat lover. She was arriving in 1hr. I had made the bed in the guest room all lovely and closed the door. Boone had never cared 2 foxes for that room but as I closed the door he bolted in as the door swung shut and jumped on the bed. Sigh. I removed him and closed the door. He tried to dig his way into the room for her entire visit.
She left and he lost interest. Cats eh

Thrifty the robo-cat started to scratch on the recliner just now. I spake unto her and said, in quite gentle tones, "don't scratch that, please", and she stopped immediately and walked over for some fuss. Verily this is a fake cat.

Btw Izzy says Linney is doing iglooing all wrong. This is how it really works.

Linney has "done iglooing" so badly that he's now curled up in a ball inside his, fast asleep.

Lexter says it's been too long since I shared a photo of him, so here he is being a very good boy, unlike the other demons who stole my extra steak. He is the only one who is definitely innocent as he was by my side the whole time of the steak heist.

The idiot sisters are 5 today! Gorgeous girls 💕 will be celebrating with them when I am back from my trip to brum 😊

Basil & Sybil on the kitchen table this morning. Can't help feeling Sybil is just guarding her new box 😆.
To be fair they are curled up together now so clearly Basil isn't too worried.

She is, Shell, she's a little treasure. A little menace too at times, of course. I've had to shut her out of my bedroom at night, at least while I'm on early shifts, but no problem - she assaults DS's feet instead. His door is never closed.

He slept in his igloo all night.
Then he jumped on to our bed to wake us up when he wanted his breakfast

Oh I wish our 2 would use the cat beds!!! We've had igloos, a Winnie the Pooh honey pot (🤷‍♀️), trés expensive Joules padded bed, a tower bed with cushion on top and a cave underneath and probably at least 2 more that I can't recall at the moment. But no, they sleep on a pair of tatty garden chair cushions on the kitchen table... 🙄

Basil was already named when we got him from Battersea and his sister was Bluebell. We thought Sybil worked much better so renamed her. (Picture of Dorian Gray or Fawlty Towers - take your pick. She does have Fawlty Towers spelling though).
Karl and Lenny were also named by Battersea (The Simpsons - Nuclear plant workers). I really didn't like their names to start with and intended to change them but we never got round to it. 🤣

It is difficult to change when you get used to it. Breadcat should be JohnWestNoDrainTunaInSpringWaterCat

Linney's name was Billy when we got him from Cats Protection.

He's named after Loch Linnhe. I just changed the spelling.
