What is the evolution of your cat’s nicknames?

When my girl was a kitten, she was very elegant, slim, and long legged from a Siamese and Bengal heritage (she’s not now as she likes her food a bit too much) so we would call her Tiptoes which became:

These are not the only names by which she is known but it’s one subset that I can identify.

How did your cat get their nickname and how did it evolve?

My cat was Bella and I changed it to Phoebe when I got her from the rescue.
She's been Miss Phoebe, beebie , beebs, pudding pie and fatty.

One cat is Scully, often known as Sculls, and more generally as Sculliver the Pirate Cat.

The other is Reg and he gets Regiver, for some unknown reason.

Suffixes are common, and Regiver sounds like it’s his Sunday name.

Toto was named as a short for Thomas, after DH's childhood cat. This has become Bobo. People say Beau Beau? I say no, Bobo.

As in Bobo the clown because he is ridiculous.

That's because she was a skinny little thing when I got her, now she a little fatty. But she is an old lady, somewhere between 15 and 20.

Many options for expansion. I hope she generates a lot of kisses. Poor girl, being left behind but I’m glad she found a home.

Neither had I till doing a bit of musing about why I called her Mips, and then I realised where it all started 😊

They just roll off the tongue, and I bet each of the other names has a subset that just emerge.
