Hi Lost - watched Mog this morning too, but preferred Tabby McTat.

Only very obliquely cat related but we had a couple of these perching photogenically in our walnut tree this afternoon.
Slightly disappointed that the cats have never caught one - they really are noisy buggers 🤣

When I used to rent near Hampstead Heath they used to scare me to death!

We sometimes have a swarm of them flying over. Don’t like them at all x

I rather like them - they're very pretty, even if LOUD. I just thought those two were asking to be photographed 😁.
We get flocks of them here too (West of London).

What are they? They look like parrots.

Shell they're parakeets. There are tens of thousands of them West of London. Various theories about when they arrived - my favorite is that a breeding pair escaped from a film set at Shepperton in the 1950s.

There's a shed load who fly around near Eltham Palace in SE London. They particularly like hanging out by the cafe there on sunny days so they can pick up the superior English Heritage cake crumbs that fall on the paving.

They look very podgy! I like them too (NW London), the flash of green as they zoom past is so cheerful Though they can certainly make a racket. TempCat likes them too but gets more rarked up by the naughty magpies squabbling in the garden.

A flat with a balcony opposite me has a bird feeder strung up. Today was quite funny watching several very irritated and persistent pigeons trying and failing to get at the bird seed, when a couple of parrakeet landed and happily munched away. I assume the residents have deliberately chosen a feeder only suited for smaller lighter birds!
