Fred is sitting next to me watching Godfather of Harlem. Unlike Toad, Fred is not just sitting near me to make sure he doesn't miss out on any trips to "the turkey room". He is shocked at the very notion!

Well, we had all the drama.

Lasagna discovered how to open the back door. So suddenly we were three cats short. Toni and Fett were in the garden - we caught Toni easily, Fett with some work. Las was nowhere to be seen but was yelling a lot.

Then as we were hunting for Las, Fett escaped again - lightning streak out of that back door. We assume he was concerned about Las. We caught him again, spotted Las on the shed roof next door. He was not obliging and hid in the garden of the house that backs on to ours. The residents were away, so we snuck in down the side, but he ran again. Eventually I caught him in the hedge of another house, but he scratched me up so DD and I hung on to him while DS fetched the carrier.

We got him in and back in the house, but holy shit it was scary.

That sounds incredibly stressful, @pointythings . Glad you were able to round them up again.

I was about to go up to bed but can't currently put my slippers on because Munchkin has decided that they are a comfy spot for a rest. Apparently their <cough> unique fragrance doesn't bother her. She must be made of strong stuff.

Really late coming to bed.
Discovered that DS2 left behind the rug we bought him. Someone has found it to be very comfy though.

If it was sold as a designated cat bed, Linney would show no interest.

DS2 clearly knew there are those with Greater Needs.

He's but going to let DS2 have it, is he?

Whatever she was doing, I passed (or failed?) as she moved away and didn't try eating me again.

Rather proud of my pair today. As is the custom at the House of Allergic, on Boxing Day Dsis & Nephew no. 4 came round for party food & film watching (well actually 2 episodes of Death in Paradise then the 1st 3 episodes of Good Omens).

Not only did Girlcat come down and sit with us for a while, including being picked up & fussed by me, but Tobias actually came down & sat just inside the living room door observing us for a while. I think that's the first time he's ventured out of his igloo with other people here, let alone left their bedroom & come downstairs.

I think we should rename it “cone of pride”! Like when children get stickers saying “I was really brave at the dentist”! Except it’s “I was really unconscious at the vet and now need to be restrained from unpicking my own stitches” but never mind that.
