Thank you for the solidarity here - I was starting to feel like I'm the only miserable git 😂 (Well, me and DH)

Once DS is spending the Christmas period elsewhere I'm ditching most of it. I'll probably still have a tree, but it'll be a small one, and there's my train which I love... but that's it 😂 Cooking a roast dinner can piss off too 🤣

Well it's usually me who is the miserable old sod but I rather like Christmas.
Just back from midnight mass. The tree is now up and decorated (as of the 24th) although disappointingly the cats have showed no interest in it at all. Family have arrived, plus we'll also have NDN coming for lunch (he's forbidden to bring TC though). I even enjoy cooking a roast dinner, and have already timetabled it for tomorrow today 😁.
I'm now just waiting up now for DS1 who was playing for midnight mass at another church. Sybil is keeping me company but clearly wondering why I'm not in bed.

So wishing a Very Happy Christmas to all the denizens of the litter tray, human or feline.

Been up since long before dawn with DC. They definitely help to increase the excitement.
Boone always get his pressie on Christmas Eve (so he and we can enjoy it without children screaming). However Eko tried to play with it this morning so Boone has already given him a very unfestive smack.

Now Grumpy, if NDN is with you, aren’t you going to have TC with his sad Oliver Twist face at the window all day?

Every time I go into the kitchen, Toad runs in and jumps onto the stool by the fridge to see if it's turkey time yet.
Also do I win the award for the first Christmas injury? I burnt myself getting my pain au chocolat out of the air fryer ☹️

Wishing all the lovely Litter Tray Cats and Cat Slaves a happy and/or restful day according to preference. I am lurgied so hope at least to watch some TV.

My two got a present after all - I repaired their scratching post today. Daisy has deigned to use it, though I didn't manage to get a picture of her in action.

Am waiting for DS2 to arrive so that we can have breakfast. Mr SB and I prepped the Christmas Dinner yesterday and I have written my Timings List.

All will be well. I'm doing the one and a half hour turkey again.

Haven't done a traditional Christmas for years. There's just me & the cats here so no point in doing a proper roast dinner, I tend to eat various "trimmings" as mini meals during the day e.g. pigs in blankets, honey roasted parsnips, sausage meat stuffing rather than roast a joint. Which is just how I like it 😀

Tomorrow I have Dsis & nephew no 4 round to eat party food and watch films. Decorations wise usually I have lights & window clings in the front window but couldn't be naffed this year, but I do have an artificial wreath on the door, a tree-shaped lantern thingy with deer on it, assorted battery operated sparkly tea lights and assorted battery operated mini trees.

I am in the bad books already as I've broken the news that the turkey will take about 3.5 hours to cook.

All ‘nip’ed out. That Gus and Bella box was a complete winner! He grabbed his pressies out of it and sprinted away! Getting one of those again wow. My happy baby 💙

Finlay’s first Xmas - we had to let him join in briefly - he is still recovering from major surgery so only allowed out of crate to play for short periods and no climbing or jumping or down

I'm not sure if Toad is asleep on me because he's happy I gave him turkey, or if it's so he knows if I get up to go into the kitchen so he won't miss out on any, but either way he's being a snugglebutt. And yes, that's his back paw that he's got his head on, bendy little oddball.

Ahh! A Christmas tummy full of turkey! Best way to be Toad.
