....... calling all the excellent cats from the last thread.

Stop chasing shrews, mice and birds and join us here.
Less well-behaved cats especially welcome.

We have two boys in their twenties Shell. As one has left home and the other is at Uni, we are rattling around with just the cats for company at the moment.

Ah!
We have two sons and two daughters, all adult, all cat lovers. DD2 has two cats. DD1 had two cats, who have died. She's moving house soon so she hasn't got another cat yet.

DS2 has a cat called Harley. DS1 used to have a dog (does that count) but he loves mogs too.

We're going on our belated summer holiday tomorrow and DS2 is coming to look after Linney.

Picard (NMC) just popped in to eat what was left of Linney's food.

Mr SB showed Picard the door. He was not impressed.

...aaaand two and a half hours later, Picard is back.

He decided to have a wash before he left this time

I've just discovered that Basil is a POSH CAT. No mere DLH - he's recorded as a British Long Hair on his vaccination record. I'm impressed - I have a pedigree. I can now cast scorn on my other three cats for being inferior cats.

They've got his DOB wrong too 😹😹😹

Lenny (the scruff) however has no pretensions to being posh.

DS2 has arrived to look after Linney for a week.
Mr SB and I are going on our summer holiday at last tomorrow.
DS2 has announced that he's now a qualified bouncer.

He has an additional qualification in handcuffing miscreants.

I feel sorry for any miscreants who come across DS2. He is an imposing 6ft 5in and very strong.

Apologies - my post was meant to be flippant, I obviously misjudged it..

Basil and Sybil are indeed siblings. They are also definitely both DomesticLH cats (Battersea's finest). Our vet, for some reason has got both Basil's breed and his DOB wrong - and I've only just noticed 😁.

He'll soon find out.

I didn't even realise there was a distinction between Domestic and British until a recent discussion on @Toddlerteaplease's thread. I thought British Shorthair/Longhair was modern posh-speak for the Moggie, my fave variety of cat

I'll catch up on the thread later but just wanted to say...I'm at a cat café and it's so cool!

Well so much for our holiday.
You'll recall that in July we had to cancel it because of Emerald.

Today we set off and got 35 miles. At that point, the road had been closed by the police because of landslides.

So we went home again.

DS2 is now also stuck here until Bear Scotland mend the road(s).

There are no trains out of Glasgow anyway, although that's academic as he can't get to Glasgow anyway.

Ooh I wish I was at a cat cafe!
