He was 17 and a half and he died this morning

I found him in the bathroom. My children grew up with him and his mother who only died last May. I have been in the garden digging a place to put him and have had to stop as it is hard work.
He was the best ratter you would ever know, and he was cheeky and noisy and loving and I will miss him so much.
End of an era. Legend.

RIP sweet boy. My lovely ginger giant left us at the same age and we were heartbroken. He sounds wonderful.

Yesterday he was naughty. he kept trying to steal my food and I had to brush him off the table. I fed him several times and I groomed him. He fussed a lot and even had a little fight with the puppy which he won !
He came in last night through the cat-flap and made a lot of noise. He always announced his return very loudly (Siamese) I saw him on the stairs as I went to the loo.
He liked going in the bathroom because we have a dripping tap. He liked drinking fresh water.
He was still warm when I found him. He's wrapped in a blanket now and we will bury him when my grandson finishes school.
I'm glad he went like this. Being pts is what you dread isn't it.

He sounds like a great character op. I love a vocal dcat! Always lots to say! Sounds like he died peacefully in the home he was well loved in. Sorry for your loss..

Sweet cat, and I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds as though his death was quick and painless, and that was a blessing for him in spite of how sad you must be.

Our chap is nearly 19 and become very howly of late. We've had him checked out and all fine, just old age. He's half Burmese, half moggie so very guttural when he wants and god it is loud. I dread the day he leaves us, but would rather it was in his sleep here at home then having to be pts or in pain at the vets.

So sorry op. My little one was 17 and a half and had to be PTS on Friday. I was hoping she would just go in her sleep (she had cancer) but in the end we had to make the decision.

Your little one sounds like such a character. You'll always remember those good times .
