😂 my Siamese/Tonkinese cross does as well! It doesn't bother him at all if I squirt him with a water pistol , he thinks it's a great game!

We are having to crate our kitten as dd has asd and the tree being messed up has really really upset her each day so if we go out we crate him . If we are there we have to keep him in the conservatory now

I sold mine years ago as I had kittens in October and didn't think a tree would be a good idea, I also sadly no longer have the cats.

My 3 year old cat Haribo has never seen a Christmas tree and he never will because I can't be bothered to decorate one anyway.

@TroysMammy my parents have a pop up Christmas tree, a base, 3x poles and then a spiral Christmas tree (predecorated and lit) that clips onto the top pole, literally takes 2 minutes to put up if you fancy some festive cheer without the fuss.

We have 10year old cat who was vaguely interested the first year when he was kitten but hasn’t registered the tree for the last 9 years. Now have 13 week old kitten. I’ve been dreading putting the tree up. Have done it today. He’s had a bit of a swipe at some low hanging baubles and some lights but otherwise has left alone. Hoping it remains that way but wondering if he’s just overwhelmed with the hustle and bustle of everyone decorating and the real interest will come once we’ve finished the job!

Hahahaha! You really can’t.

I’m now fully appreciating how lucky I’ve been with my cats. They have never climbed the tree and they haven’t trashed ornaments on the tree. Older boy (passed away at 10 years old) thought that the tree skirt was his fluffy blanket. His younger brother (now 13) has always ignored the tree.

My smugness has probably jinxed it for this year 🤣

I get a real tree and make sure the bottom bit is thick so the cats can't climb through.
I have sacrificial baubles that go low down that they can bat about the room but they do this a bit less each year.
