Just for the love of Tabby Cats- not enough tabby love

Just that really. I have a wonderful middle-aged tabby who turned up in my garden nearly eight years ago and seems to have no intention of going home. She was about 5 years old, a skinny little thing, spayed and obviously looked after at some point but no chip and no forthcoming owner!

DH had died about 6 months before (hated cats- so cat free house) in a weird way as we could not have him back we were keeping her! She also looked just like my cat growing up who I remember getting aged 3 as my first memory and then living for 22 years amazing years. I know for most humans, their own feline overlords are the best- but surely everyone knows tabby cats are the most beautiful, felines ever!

Here are my two beautiful boys - Peanut, a one-eyed spotted brown tabby, and Nutmeg, his mostly white wannabe tabby brother. Super gorgeous rescues.

I adore my tabby boy, he's a cuddly, goofy, (5.5 kg asshole who wakes me up at 5am by alternating between laying on my neck and putting his paw on my face and then jumping down and scratching the carpet) and I wouldn't change him for the world! 🤩

Magnus is a Pixie Bob - supposedly bred from North American wildcat.

have you watched Ozark ? There’s an interesting Bob Cat storyline in it (season 1 I think)

Goes even more interesting than that! Both she and her brother are what's called "smoke black", which means their top coat is black but they have a silvery white undercoat that you only see if you ruffle the fur back.

Means I get visible hairs on both light and dark fabrics

I love 💕 tabby cats, their markings fascinate me.

The grey and white one is Alfi (Alfreda RIP), she was the most beautiful but haughty madam 🙄

The second is Woody as a wee kitten, he's five now and a dreamy, ditzy character. Never puts weight on which is apparently unusual for a tabby 🤔

Last is Kloppy, photo taken on the day I adopted him in February 2020 just before covid. He's now a 5kg chunk of love and troublesomeness 😻

This is Tiger, a stray who decided to come and live with us a few months ago. She's the light of our lives now.

I am the slave to two tabbies. The Floof - tabby Siberian abandoned by her owners who didn't want to treat her completely manageable skin condition.
The cheeky pig cat - abandoned on the practice doorstep with her sister a few weeks ago.

My parents Tabby, mithril and my first ever pet Dragon

This was my very best friend in the world for 12 years .. passed away after a short illness during lockdown . I miss her every day , as did her sister who was then unfortunately hit by a car 4 months later

Took me over a year to replace them in my home but can never replace them in my heart ❤️
