Help me pick a name for my black kitten! 🖤

Hi all.

I'm trying to think of a unique name for a female black kitten that'll i'll be bringing home in 3 weeks, but I'm really struggling! Normally I'm good at thinking of names but I just can't think of anything creative.

The only ones that come to mind are

Luna (but there's already a luna in our family. My brothers gf pinched it after finding out it was what I was going to call my daughter! Haha)
Midnight
Gypsy
Minnie

That's all I've come up with so far. I've googled black cats names and there's loads but nothing really stands out to me yet. Nothing jumps out and I think "yes! That's it!".

Please give your thoughts and suggestions!

Your kitten can be called Panda (as OP didn't like that name!). Or Pandora at the vets.

My black cats are called Cat and Other Cat because I can't easily tell them apart. They do have proper names too but are boys. I'm fairly confident that one of them has a completely unique name as he is Captain Raymond Jacob Holt. The other is probably fairly common for black cats as he's Sirius - are there any female Blacks that have good names?

I really like the name Ember

Also storm, ebony, shadow though those are bit more on the nose.

Husband has a thing for cats named human names and would hence pick something like Susan 😂

When we got our little black kitten we called her Peppa, ( as in black pepper but spelt like Peppa pig!)
I’d also wanted Pepsi, but she’s mostly called Pep or peppep

Ironic as lillies are deadly poisonous to cats. As in: don't have them in the house or garden poisonous. The pollen drops so easily and just a tiny amount groomed off can cause irreversible kidney failure.

@TheSpottedZebra Foxglove is another good name for a cat.

I called mine Sweep.

I like Salem or Samantha for a black cat. I have no idea why though [shrug].

My fictional black cat is called Spooky.

I really, really want an all-black cat one day. 😻

We called ours Ginger for the irony.
But as he got older he was a bit of a sod I used to mumble Jet Black rotten cat under my breath, particularly once when I was untangling him from the gas man he had attacked by leaping off the garden fence and onto his back poor man was only trying to inspect the flue.

My black cats are called Cordy (Cordelia) and Scout.

I’d probably call a black cat Marmite. Probably better for a male cat though.
