Help me pick a name for my black kitten! 🖤

Hi all.

I'm trying to think of a unique name for a female black kitten that'll i'll be bringing home in 3 weeks, but I'm really struggling! Normally I'm good at thinking of names but I just can't think of anything creative.

The only ones that come to mind are

Luna (but there's already a luna in our family. My brothers gf pinched it after finding out it was what I was going to call my daughter! Haha)
Midnight
Gypsy
Minnie

That's all I've come up with so far. I've googled black cats names and there's loads but nothing really stands out to me yet. Nothing jumps out and I think "yes! That's it!".

Please give your thoughts and suggestions!

My black girls were Lilith and Hecate. My current black boy is "the black one", to contrast with his brother, "the white one". They've both had a few try-out names, but none of them stuck! (At the vet, they're Vader and Anakin, named by my grandson.)

Asra- which is travel a night like a cat does. But never heard of a cat or anyone called that so is lovely and significant but still unusual. But wouldn't sound weird calling a cat that name

Treacle.

Another vote for Sootica. I loved the Gobbolino (sp?) story when I was little.

I'd hold off until you've had her a few weeks.
Always seems odd to me to name an animal when you don't know it.

Our sleek little black kitten is Eclipse.

I've named my sweet girl Nora (she is almost 6 years old now!)

I was going to suggest Melanie (which means dark), but it sounds boring alongside Nyx, Puca and Sootica -- all of which are brilliant!

No idea why I just think granny names are good for cats.

But then mine has a title and job description as part of her 'full' name.
