I went to a blood clinic yep, my own GP isn't doing bloods any more
Smear test nurse was excellent, not uncomfortable at all and we were too busy talking about oven cleaning when I had my bloods done Grin

The NHS at its finest. 😀

We have our first mollys mice. They won't be the last. Love at first sniff for Walter. The kids are fascinated.

Ugh, smear tests. I apparently have a shy cervix. Doesn't make it an easy process.

Photo of Walter with his new love (complete with toddler toes).

Aww, he loves that doesn’t he!

Supersimkin2 · 29/01/2022 15:01

Walter and the cherub are adorable. Tiny paws and toes, the sweetness.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 29/01/2022 15:47

Mine's "cute". Apparently.

Leroy currently has a thing for M&S Brussels Pâté. Smooth, obvs.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/01/2022 16:05

Yes because otherwise you risk having to chew.

coastergirl · 29/01/2022 16:32

He really does love it. Hmmm, not sure the toddler can be called a cherub. He's going to turn me grey! He adores Walt though.

A cute cervix, wow 😂

Supersimkin2 · 29/01/2022 19:08

Smart move Leroy.

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 29/01/2022 20:20

Ollie stinks of catnip. He's denying all knowledge of playing with it Grin

They do smell really strong! Walter's out cold 😂

I set fire to Capn’s tail.

We were having a lie in on the same pillow & I was lighting fag when he was slapping me round the chops with tail - I lit the tail.

This is his ‘pate apology accepted’ face. There will be many more acts of restitution.

I set fire to Capn’s tail.

I assume it was a couple of hairs singed, but I still think I'd give up smoking immediately if I did that 😱

Is he still making you suffer?

Supersimkin2 · 30/01/2022 14:54

He didn’t notice.

There’s more pate coming later.

I’m haunted by the memory of pinching the frazzled furs out and the smell of cat on fire.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 30/01/2022 15:17

Leroy is happy to accept a few singed tail hairs in exchange for M&S Brussels Pâté (Smooth)

No one in the house smokes any more though, but I suspect he'll get said pâté anyway 🙄

Allergictoironing · 30/01/2022 15:29

That was one of my requirements of myself before getting cats - to pack up smoking. I cheated, I vape now - but the costs are minimal compared to fags and the effect on health the same.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 30/01/2022 17:27

I set fire to Capn’s tail. Shock

My parents' cat (when I was a child) used to not infrequently wave her tail too close to the two bar electric fire.
She never seemed to mind but the smell of singed fur was vile...

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/01/2022 18:31

Our matriarch cat once singed her fur on a tea light. All this animals are naturally afraid of fire isn’t true. Whoever said it never saw a Bengal walk across a gas hob 🤦🏻‍♀️

You’d think by now we’d have a flame free way of lighting fags, I’ve seen dh light them on a gas hob. He has a favourite brand of olive oil now so I’ve gentrified him a bit.

Allergictoironing · 30/01/2022 18:38

We did for years - cigarette/cigar lighters in cars. Nowadays you just get the socket but no lighter.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 30/01/2022 18:55

Posh. I've lit fags off 2 bar electric fires.

(I also had a cat singe his tail on one too. I think it was common in the 70s 😂)

Papergirl1968 · 30/01/2022 18:57

Lana! Shock Grin

Supersimkin2 · 30/01/2022 21:17

The very poshest lighter is the toaster I say.

Capns remarkably unscathed: he’s enjoying evermore pate and M&S ham without question.

I’ve been sacked from anti-smoking school three times. I have tried, honest.
