Do Persian cats /Persian chinchillas frequently have toilet accidents around the house?

This will help me as an important deciding factor!
I've read on some old threads that Persians can often forget where their litter tray is or wee everywhere but the litter tray!

Is this true in your experience? A friend of a friend has a litter of persian chinchillas and I was seriously considering it...

Thank you

She’s so lovely.
I love doll faced persians, so beautiful and elegant

At least she won't spend her home having to tell people that she is not grumpy. (And nor will you)

I have three Persians and they are all good at using the trays. They hugely enjoy each others' company. Initially I had one, and he changed for the better when I got two more kittens. I can see how lonely he was before they arrived.

My Persian, Teddy, is no longer with us, but he didn’t seem to like peeing in the litter tray, he had another spot he went regularly instead. 🙄. I don’t think he forgot where the litter tray was though.

@Toddlerteaplease

If i'm being honest, he's brilliant with the baby. There was a bit of a power struggle at first, but they are sharing space and he lies near his moses basket and pops his head in occasionally to make sure the small smelly human is there and okay..

He can come for a play date with your two! I just don't think he would appreciate a long journey in his carrier as he hates it! :(

@samlh that's good news. My two would come for a play date with him. They travel well. And my friend, who I think isn't far from you keeps mentioning having them up for a date with his two!

Toddlerteaplease · 01/08/2021 21:40

They were going to stay with him for a couple of days, but he thinks it's mean to keep them In his (enormous spare rooms, and thinks magic would enjoy a walk around his garden) Hmm

Leo would love them to come for a play date! He would even share his mackerel loins with them.

I keep telling my husband that Leo is very lonely and he needs a furry brother or sister and now I'm on a years maternity leave it would be the perfect opportunity... he's not convinced but I think if your two came I could prove that we work well as a multiple kitty household! Grin

Leo gets makeral? They are going to sneak into the car tomorrow when I drive up north!
