Do Persian cats /Persian chinchillas frequently have toilet accidents around the house?

This will help me as an important deciding factor!
I've read on some old threads that Persians can often forget where their litter tray is or wee everywhere but the litter tray!

Is this true in your experience? A friend of a friend has a litter of persian chinchillas and I was seriously considering it...

They are so beautiful! I am not normally a cat person but now wondering if my dog (shih tzu, seems to look a bit similar!!) will accept one moving in?

@Dizzywizz, they aren't the most dynamic of cats. So I doubt your dog will even notice!

Chinchilla Persians are usually healthier than other persian varieties because they tend to have a longer nose/‘doll face’.
Although some breeders are unfortunately breeding them with the squashed pig face.

Mine never had any accidents. Gorgeous girl she was. She'd sometimes get shitty trousers if she feasted on too many daddy long legs in the autumn and that would require a knicker-trim.

I now have a golden Persian boy and a blue girl and I love them so much. The guy is so obnoxious, he's awesome 😆

A knicker trim is a must!

That is definitely her table! She loves it. And it's also the best place to brush her as she keeps still. (Ish, she is an absolute fidget bum)

I had a persian as a child and never had any toileting accidents with her. She did, however, absolutely HATE being groomed and it was a real struggle every single time. I've been told that this is common with tortoiseshell persians?

OP- Leo hasnt had accidents around the house, he chose to pee in the hallway occasionally but that's stopped (for now!)
