By popular request, a furtherance of the Saga of TC the Stripey.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is a story of a war of attrition over the last two years waged by a fat stripey cat on the innocent and long suffering members (feline and human) of the Grumpy household. Now running at almost 3000 posts, clearly TC would give Grendel a run for his money

All literary references welcome, we've already had Shakespeare, Saki, James Thurber, The KJV bible, Judith Kerr, EM Forster, Benny Hill and of course our own Supersimkin2 (to name but a few).

Well, Grumpy..you are just going to have to do a reenactment of the scenario. And have your camera at the ready this time ! I'm sure TC will be happy to oblige...might want to wait until Mrs.Grumpy is away for a bit so you can pull off the caper without interruption, tho.

Just woken up by a text from NDN warning of cat fighting outside. TC and the grey and white thug were apparently having a go at each other. All three of our boys were out, so I nipped downstairs to check and all three then came in, cheerful as anything demanding food.
I suspect they'd just been spectating.
BLOODY CATS - don't they know it's three in the morning .
For anyone concerned, NDN confirmed that TC is fine as well.

I don't have much sympathy for the grey and white, since we believe he was the 'purrpetrator' of Poodlegate.

Working upstairs at the patio side of the house, I now know how much time TC spends miaowing outside the patio doors.
He's using the facilities quietly, but in a rather wanton manner, this morning.

He wants a hug!

Basil seems to have now gained the upper hand after TC half-heartedly swiped him when he went out.

Or Basil is keeping up high and out of the way of the paw!

Cat chess this morning

I dare you to paint your patio with black and white squares. Basil and Sybil would obviously be King and Queen. Lenny and Karl are the pawns.

Very tempting . But what would TC be?
He'll obviously have to be a white piece which is a pity as I could see him as the black knight!

Sequence of events this morning.
I didn't see or hear anything going on, but for whatever reason TC has relinquished his position to Basil.

And Basil has now taken TC's original spot.
(Yay for Basil )

I'm sure TC had something better to do :)
