Thug cat part 4. After all, it's not my Axminster.

By popular request, a furtherance of the Saga of TC the Stripey.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is a story of a war of attrition over the last two years waged by a fat stripey cat on the innocent and long suffering members (feline and human) of the Grumpy household. Now running at almost 3000 posts, clearly TC would give Grendel a run for his money

All literary references welcome, we've already had Shakespeare, Saki, James Thurber, The KJV bible, Judith Kerr, EM Forster, Benny Hill Shock and of course our own Supersimkin2 (to name but a few).

Have you tried giving him dreamies again?

Mistressofnone · 28/03/2022 23:37

Oh TC trying to woo you with his toe beans!

Did he plant that cable there so the door wouldn't shut?

AnneKipankitoo · 29/03/2022 08:59

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats is teasing the poor boy .

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/03/2022 09:33

For thise asking, the cable was there because DW was mowing the lawn. She had put one of the heavy garden chairs in front of the door as a TC deterrent, but clearly that didn't put him off.

TC IS A FRAUD!!!!!

Spotted this today. But, I'd removed the dead mouse from Karl's mouth about 10 minutes prior to this photo...

Funnily enough in the dim and distant past, my old boy Monty used to 'mug' the 'kittens' (Basil and Sybil) for things they had caught so he could eat them. 😹

We had a little black and white female cat, nicknamed The Assassin as whatever she hit died instantly, no messing, no playing, just lethal force, and she adopted a tiny male ginger kitten we found and did all his hunting for him, used to go off hunting bring back the spoils and drop it at his feet. Unsurprisingly the ginger cat was the most laid back and chilled cat you could imagine, all the hard work, all the protection he needed (female cat would not allow anyone or anything to upset her boy) was taken care of for him and he just lazed about thoroughly enjoying life.

TC is currently under one our garden chairs sheltering from the snow Shock

Having had a surprisingly heavy snow shower, the sun is now shining and no sign of any snow at all.
The attached (cat free) photos were taken less then 10 minutes apart.

We had the same weather here. It was very chilly last night at 3am too when I was woken by what sounded like my neighbour's Bengal taking on a fox. Our cats have barely left the house in case of running into him on his victory lap.

Allergictoironing · 31/03/2022 16:32

Same here in Kent. Dull morning, sudden flurry of rather heavy snow, now sun is shining looking like a perfect spring day. Cats retired to the bed at about 10am, their only movement being going from opposite sides to snuggled up together to keep warm

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/04/2022 09:41

Poor TC doing an impression of the little match girl all cold in the snow.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/04/2022 09:53

I don’t think Tc and matches ought to be used in the same sentence. It tempts fate.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 01/04/2022 14:40

I wouldn't trust any cat with a box of matches...

When Asbo was alive he slept in the kitchen overnight and every night dh asked me if I’d switched everything off downstairs and I’d say “no, I left everything plugged in and I gave the cat a box of matches/Semtex/fireworks etc to play with”

AnneKipankitoo · 01/04/2022 19:51

🔥🙀

I'm currently in Paris and spotted a sculpture in the Louvre of one of TC's ancestors...

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 01/04/2022 23:01

He gets around does TC. Not only has an ancestor been spotted on the Louvre, but at choir practice tonight I noticed a mention of him in the Easter hymn 'The strife is o'er'. It contains the line
'The Stripes which wounded thee' Shock

JoanOgden · 02/04/2022 07:32

Handel's Messiah has a more upbeat interpretation of TC's influence: "And with his stripes we are healed" Grin

Where exactly on the knight's anatomy is TC's back paw located?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/04/2022 08:49

Where exactly on the knight's anatomy is TC's back paw located?

Experience would suggest that all cats have an innate ability to firmly place a paw EXACTLY where one would rather they didn't.
I'm more curious about the fact that the Louvre knight appears to be wearing an anachronistic wristwatch. Grin
