Thug cat part 4. After all, it's not my Axminster.

By popular request, a furtherance of the Saga of TC the Stripey.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is a story of a war of attrition over the last two years waged by a fat stripey cat on the innocent and long suffering members (feline and human) of the Grumpy household. Now running at almost 3000 posts, clearly TC would give Grendel a run for his money

All literary references welcome, we've already had Shakespeare, Saki, James Thurber, The KJV bible, Judith Kerr, EM Forster, Benny Hill Shock and of course our own Supersimkin2 (to name but a few).

Has TC lost weight ?

Bonabee · 24/03/2022 22:50

I thought that too Annekipankitoo Sad

Hope TC and Grumpy are both ok Smile

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 25/03/2022 09:53

Spotted from my (upstairs) office window this morning. TC is back to 'owning' the boat...

And now talking full advantage of the outside attractions, (including keeping his eye on a couple of mallards)

TC actually looks a little like my boy.

Would your boy like an step brother? Grin

You'd be lost without him GrumpyGrin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 26/03/2022 17:02

He's been keeping us company this afternoon, sleeping on the patio while we've been outside. Our cats appear occasionally, give him a dirty look and then just carry on.

Does his other owner miss him very much?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 26/03/2022 17:28

NDN popped round this morning. TC always looks slightly surprised (and a bit guilty, maybe?) when he sees his 'dad' in our house Grin.
We're going over to eat at NDN's tonight so TC will be on his best behaviour towards me.

That's quite an impressive knuckle duster there in photo one.

For self defence of course. Obviously.

CassandraCross · 26/03/2022 18:38

I so want to just touch the pads on that paw in photo one, I know though that I would never live to tell the tale.

AnneKipankitoo · 26/03/2022 18:55

Absolutely, @CassandraCross.
You will not survive.

CassandraCross · 26/03/2022 19:01

We had a seriously chilled laid back cat that I used to be able to stick my finger between his big pad and his toe pads and he would just curl his toes in and out, I'd be deader than a very dead thing trying that caper with TC.

I dare you to give him an upsidedown cuddle whilst calling him your ickle babby and cooing at him Grin

AnneKipankitoo · 26/03/2022 19:21

😂

Allergictoironing · 26/03/2022 20:33

Boycat really enjoys it when I fondle the little bit of webbing betweeen his toes. Girlcat gave me a filthy look when I tried that with her, and I doubt very much I would dare with any other cat!

Mistressofnone · 27/03/2022 09:09

How was dinner at NDN's? Did TC head out to check your property for open windows?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 27/03/2022 09:41

Very pleasant thank you. TC was absolutely charming to us in his own house (after he'd initially looked at us askance), and even joined us on the dinner table for attention...

It wasn’t a Basil Fawlty “Don’t mention the war” type night then?

Have I previously mentioned that Mr. NDN is German? I might have mentioned the war once last night, but think I got away with it Grin

Allergictoironing · 27/03/2022 11:05

Meh. Anyone who is German, or has a German surname (like I do) gets used to it. At the age of 60 I still have people thinking they are being original and clever making puns based on my last name Hmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/03/2022 12:00

Well that explains everything doesn’t it? I’m sure you got away with it 😂
