Funniest, unusual, lovely names you've heard for cats

My very elderly neighbour has a cat called Sweetface

NC for this. I adopt rescues and my latest gang are a brother and sister pair called Tank and Zazu and their brother from another mother, who has the boring name of Tom!

Susan calman has a cat called DCI Jane Tennyson that always makes me giggle. I called my failed foster miss Amy Santiago! (That’s prime suspect and Brooklyn 99 if you’re not getting the references!)

I used to know a cat called Larry Hagman

When my DC were small there was a brilliant kids programme on tv with a cat called Mousie Tongue. (Mao Tse Tung).

I can't remember anything about the show but that cat's name amused me every time.

We have two cats, one has been renamed recently to Proddy, because he can’t keep his paws off of anything. He literally prods everything he sees.

When I was growing up we had cats called Bonnie & Clyde

Next doors cats are called Alan and Gary!

The tiny black and white kitten I owned as a teenager had a perfectly sensible name but being a ball of black fur got constantly greeted as ‘hello, blot’. Blot stuck as a name.

When he grew up into a huge beast of unpredictable temper we added a T and called him Blott on the Landscape.

A very posh lady I knew had a cat called Bergine (burr-jeen) and then she would say "oh, Bergine!"

We have a ginger and white tom called Shock, he's a little highly strung and a grey girl called Kiska, which is Russian for kitty.

We also have a pug named Marina. And two goldfish named Barry and Elsa.

I know someone with a Gino as a cat

Friend had a cat called Sausage.
I’ve also known a Gladys, Moritz, and Wolfie.

We've had a Zebedee, Womble and Pogle (from Pogle's Wood) in the past (all Siamese).

It'll not surprise you that my db and I named them when we were very young

My patents retired to a cottage called Pogle's Wood. I absolutely loved the TV programme as a child.
