Funniest, unusual, lovely names you've heard for cats

My cat Haribo was a Cats Protection kitten fostered with his 2 brothers. They were originally called Maurice, Barry and Robin after the BeeGees. They are on YouTube under BeeGees kittens Swansea Cats Protection. Haribo is the nutter pawing the specs and running around at the end. He loves watching himself on tv.

The video is very sweet (no pun intended!) - I wonder what Haribo though the glasses were?

@TheWeeDonkeyFella goodness knows but he's never done that with my glasses. Recently he's had a thing about pipe cleaners which makes a change from slyly taking an opened packet of Dreamies out of a bag, carrying it upstairs and mauling the packet until all the Dreamies are eaten. Luckily the packet wasn't a full one.

A former neighbour of mine had a beautiful chocolate Oriental called Lord George Brown

My old biology teacher in the 1970’s had a cat called Poltergeist, because it was large and clumsy and could be heard at night crashing round the house breaking things!
One of my SILs had a very musically minded flatmate who named her cat Claude. When asked why, she said he was Claude dePussey!

The most beautiful silver tabby Maine coon named Vienna. I was so in love with that cat!

Oh, how lovely I love Maine Coons (we have two) and I've promised myself one day I will own a silver tabby, they're just beautiful.

We name our cats after stars, particularly ones that aren’t very bright and usually hard to find (like most of the cats). We’ve had:

Zubenelgenubi (Zoob)
Rasalhague (Raz)
Bellatrix (Bella)
Vindemiateix (Vindy)

Current edition is a silver spottted tabby Siberian. Our son, who was 5 when we got her, went through a phase of calling everything Bob - Bob the dragon, Bob the pet rock etc. I found a star called Eta Delphini, which is also known as the star called Bob. So there we are. Her name is Bob. She tends to respond better to GetDown or GetOff ...

Mouse, short for Septimus, as he was that family’s 7th cat.

A family member had cat and a dog called ceefa (C for cat) and deefa.... and (D for dog)... still makes me smile

Along similar lines to Ceefa and Deefer, DSis had a rabbit called Arthur.

When I was little I wanted a ginger tom so I could call him Garfield.
I ended up with a little grey girl called Nermal. She lived to a ripe old age, long after I had grown up and move out of home, and my mum had to keep explaining her name
