We have the opportunity to re-home the above breed, he is already 12 years old. We have 3 young adult kids at home & no other pets, having previously had a fantastic Staffordshire for 10 years who sadly got put to sleep last month.
Any experience of this breed very welcome as we need to make a decision fast!

Oh I I would love a ragdoll, I bet they don’t appear in rescues too often. I’m on the look out.

Sparkles29 · 25/02/2021 09:11

Do these type of cats prefer the igloo beds or a cushion type?
Would they get used to enclosed litter trays with a flap?
What about toys? Would a 12 year old cat play?
As you can tell i'm pretty clueless Shock
(we've had a dog for the last 10 years which we had to say goodbye to in January Sad)

One of mine loves all her beds, especially her tepee. The other one prefers the sofa or my bed.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/02/2021 13:09

@ThreeTwoOneBlastOff try specialist rescues.

Happy forever home day Humphrey Smile

Toddlerteaplease · 04/03/2021 14:22

Lord of all he surveys already!

Toddlerteaplease · 04/03/2021 14:23

And by the expression on his face in the third picture, he knows he is the boss!

samlh · 04/03/2021 14:30

Oh my gosh. Humphrey is beautiful!

EachandEveryone · 04/03/2021 16:36

What a regal cat. Did he just saunter in?

Wolfiefan · 04/03/2021 18:09

OMG! That face. You are being judged. Better show just how worthy a slave you can be! He’s sooooo handsome.

MiddlesexGirl · 04/03/2021 18:28

Gorgeous.
He looks like he's settled in very quickly Grin

MiddlesexGirl · 04/03/2021 18:32

@PickleStick Persians are gorgeous and I don't nor ever have had one so I'm not biased.

catatecheese · 04/03/2021 18:38

I used to have a birman. He went out and was a massive hunter! Dragged a dead rabbit into the room when we were in the middle of the teacher visit for DC1 starting reception. So embarrassing!
He likes to fop in the middle of the floor like a dog.

KatyMac · 04/03/2021 22:04

He is so beautiful! We can only have siamese/oriental rather than a long hair!

Wolfiefan · 04/03/2021 22:39

@KatyMac I wasn’t allergic to our semi long haired. But am to shorter haired pair we now have. Confused

KatyMac · 04/03/2021 22:47

I know but 4 siamese/oriental have been ok and 5 moggy not so on the balance of probability.....

Looking at a Balinese but I think they are fluffy too

Sorry @Sparkles29 for going off topic - he looks so special xx

Wolfiefan · 04/03/2021 22:55

He does look soooo special.
@KatyMac don’t rely on fluff! When you can visit a breeder and surround with cats of the breed!! Grin

EmmaC78 · 05/03/2021 21:16

He is beautiful. I have had both Birmans and Persians and they are very much indoor cats so think you will need a litter tray.

Toddlerteaplease · 08/03/2021 10:45

How's it going @Sparkles29
