Not sure if he's a particular breed or if he's just a moggie?

I’m not the best with cat breeds but he’s gorgeous. Grin

TroysMammy · 03/01/2021 18:35

Aww look at his tufty ears. He's lovely, he doesn't look too impressed being held aloft for a photo though.

acatcalledjohn · 03/01/2021 18:36

Looks like a standard tabby, perhaps with a hint of Bengal?

BellsaRinging · 03/01/2021 18:37

I have a bengal/tabby cross and he looks like that!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 03/01/2021 18:37

Gorgeous moggy.

Based on the ears he could be part bat? Grin

Ruddyfedup · 03/01/2021 18:40

Mainecoon was my 1st thought looking at them ears!

ivfbeenbusy · 03/01/2021 18:40

Just a standard moggy to me

I believe he's classed as a "mackerel" tabby

bellagogosdead · 03/01/2021 18:43

Cute kitty.Smile Looks like a moggie to me.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 03/01/2021 18:44

Can we see a pic of the tail? Think there may be some Maine Coon in there - is he a big fella?

Plussizejumpsuit · 03/01/2021 18:46

Sorry no idea! But he's a beauty! Unusual looking with his round eyes, big ears and markings. Could just be strong in the tabby markings or could be bengal mix.

BadEyeBri · 03/01/2021 18:49

He's a domestic short hair ie moggie

MrsApplepants · 03/01/2021 18:50

He looks just like a Bengal/ tabby cross I once had. He’s gorgeous.

MrsApplepants · 03/01/2021 18:50

But yes, a moggy.

Beamur · 03/01/2021 18:52

The ears are a slightly unusual shape but I think he's a moggy.

GerundTheBehemoth · 03/01/2021 18:52

Agree - a moggy aka 'domestic shorthair' rather than a pedigree breed, and his colour/pattern is brown mackerel tabby. He's a beauty :)

HearMeSnore · 03/01/2021 19:02

I know nothing about cats except that the "M" mark on the forehead means Tabby.
But whatever he is, he's blooming handsome!

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 03/01/2021 19:07

He’s a gorgeous boy

Lockdownshmockdown · 03/01/2021 19:07

Oh god I laughed so hard at this Grin

He’s an absolute beauty of a cat but the one-handed scoop for a photo and his perplexed expression have me in absolute stitches!

EmmaC78 · 03/01/2021 19:10

Agree with others, just a moggie. Lovely cat though.

viques · 03/01/2021 19:14

Oh I know. He is a fully paid up member of Breed Gorgeous.

I have a weakness for tabbies.

I have a gumbie cat in mind

Her name is Jennyanydots

Her coat is of the tabby kind

With tiger stripes and leopard spots.

Our first tabby was fortuitously called Jenny, pure co incidence, when we found the poem we were delighted. She was also the sort of cat to sit about , and organise cockroaches too! Not that we had cockroaches, but she liked spiders.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/01/2021 19:17

I’d say mackerel tabby with a dash of Bengal around the paws but the ears are more Maine coon/Norwegian forest in their tuftyness.

Hopefully he doesn’t have the Bengal persistence gene because then you’re stuffed.

Toilenstripes · 03/01/2021 19:19

Unhand me at once!

JackiesCrimbleCrumble · 03/01/2021 19:20

Looks like a standard tabby/ mog
Beautiful kitty

JackiesCrimbleCrumble · 03/01/2021 19:27

This is my baby
He's a right mummy's boy
