I think my baby is poorly :(

Dcat seems to be acting really strange. She’s normally very vocal and so far nothing today. She’s not ate or drank, she’s not touched her treats and she keeps hiding under the bed/table. Which she never does. She normally sleeps on the sofa or beds.

She isn’t purring when we stroke her and seems abit dazed.

She has an appointment at the vets this afternoon. I don’t drive and have Noway of getting her there until my dp gets home.

I feel so sad for her. She seems depressed.

Any ideas what it could be?

Dd4 stood on her tail yesterday morning but she just yelped and ran, I don’t think it hurt her ? Iv felt her tail and she’s waging it still. She was fine after it.

Have you got the bunting out? If you’ve got any dried catnip you can sprinkle it on their food to encourage her to eat.

Toddlerteaplease · 28/08/2020 16:00

They can also prescribe mirtazipine that increases appetite. Vets always get worried with mine, that they aren't eating. But they always have their head in the bel as soon as they get home.

She’s home!

She’s very quiet still and walking different. Iv taken her bandage off and she’s just stayed licking it :(

Theyve given her metacam and synulox.

Her toe beans seem really pink.

Have you considered reporting the woman? I thought recent legislation meant people had to be a registered breeder now even for moggies? I may be wrong...
Not suggesting your gorgeous dcat is a mere moggy op...

Mummypig2020 · 28/08/2020 17:36

100% I’m going too. I can’t believe she’s on her second litter since Demelza. I feel sick about it :(

My sweet baby.

She still feels warm and really sleepy but she’s on the youngest bed instead of under it like before.

I’m so worried she won’t fight it and still be poorly :(

Haha ignore the second pic, I was taking picks while she was licking herself lol

She's so beautiful! I'm glad she's back home with you, and I hope she carries on fighting this and is feeling much better soon.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/08/2020 18:38

Cats bounce back pretty quickly.

Work out how much she makes per year from breeding her cat and report her to Hmrc for not declaring self employed income plus the benefits fraud line.

Mummypig2020 · 28/08/2020 19:49

Will do! Thank you xx

Should I be worried that they never found the cause of her infection?

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2020 06:04

How is she today?.

Mummypig2020 · 29/08/2020 07:56

So much better! She’s used her scratching post which she wasn’t before. She’s been more vocal and running up and down the stairs.

One of her back legs look abit stiff though :(

How is she doing?.

Mummypig2020 · 29/08/2020 18:16

A lot better thank you! She’s ate loads today and has slept a lot but is talkative and purring again.

She’s taking her meds like a champ! I thought I’d have to crush up her tablet but she’s just eating it normally lol

Her poor shaved neck :(

Aw she looks lovely. It might just be one of those things even with humans we don’t find the source of infection all the time, as long as the tablets have worked there’s nothing else you can do. It’s frustrating but thank goodness she’s out of the woods now.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2020 19:50

I read animals make more vitamin c when they get poorly.

I wish we did that.

Icequeen01 · 29/08/2020 20:32

Oh she looks very bri

Icequeen01 · 29/08/2020 20:34

Whoops, sorry, somehow managed to post too soon!
What I was trying to say is she looks very bright eyed and alert in that photo which is a great sign. I'm sure she is well on the road to recovery now.
