New thread!
I’ve found two so much more hard work (and expensive) than one, Queen

Ffs that’s awful. When does it go out?.

ClientQueen · 06/04/2020 13:19

Podcast yesterday, TV tomorrow Smile

Supersimkin2 · 06/04/2020 13:23

@ClientQueen you're The Nation's Lockdown Lovely Grin

Plain colours and keep your hands out of shot (nigh on impossible, practice).

That's awful - do you need owt? Post works. I would call the food bank again, they'll understand.

ClientQueen · 06/04/2020 13:32

I'm ok for now, seem to have picked up some kind of stomach bug which is helpful Hmm
Ollie is giving hugs begrudgingly

Supersimkin2 · 06/04/2020 14:51

Ollie's your Nurse Hero.

Your poor thing - if it's vomming with a slight fever and aches, it passes in 24.

Capn V's just jumped up & licked all the posh sausage rolls that were my lunch treat, jumped off.

Allergictoironing · 06/04/2020 16:12

DSis has gone down with the dreaded (she's a key worker so has been out in public until the weekend). Mercy shopping trip for her & her adult DS tomorrow. Just been working out the logistics over the phone - she's emailing her list to me, I'll be rebagging it in the left over disposables I have then putting it in her porch. She's off for 2 weeks as it stands unless her DS comes down with it, so only a couple of trips will be needed.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/04/2020 17:10

Silly question Queen, and I’m cringing asking it but you are registered on gov.uk as priority?.

I suppose as it goes on slots will free up as the death rate rises.

I didn’t get an email to say I had a slot I just logged in one day and a message popped up to say we had priority booking. They’ve booked it in my name despite it being dh who’s high risk.

I’d eat the sausage rolls regardless L.

I hope your dsis recovers quickly Allergic.

We have gardened, some pensioners have made 14 separate essential trips out while we were out there.

Allergictoironing · 06/04/2020 17:20

NDN have been outside the last 2 days cleaning one of their cars as it was a Motability supplied to the old girl who died recently & must be returned. This has meant that they have been out at least once every single day for the last 10 days to buy a replacement, as 2 adult men (one I would guess is At Risk due to previous cancer) can't get by with just the 1 during Lockdown (sigh)

DSis has emailed her shopping list. I have replied with queries regarding essentials she seems to have missed off - like ice cream and jam. At least she'd remembered chocolate & muffins!

Cats are now sulking if I spend more than 10 minutes at the PC. I HAVE to go into the other room to watch them eat, sit & stare at me, sit on the windowsill looking out, or sleep in an igloo/other end of the sofa. If I ignore the pathetic cries or the scrabbling at a rustling plastic bag, I get patted on the back of the chair with increasingly hard taps.

ClientQueen · 06/04/2020 17:27

@Fluffycloudland77 yep all registered!

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/04/2020 17:37

Flipping heck. Can your consultant help? Have they even contacted him/her about putting you on as priority.

Dh rang his gp and they said they don’t have anything to do with it.

Supersimkin2 · 06/04/2020 21:49

Yeh I ate it.

Allergic, are your trips out of the kitties' orbit truly essential? Really? Smile

ClientQueen · 06/04/2020 21:54

Someone just used the zebra crossing again Hmm

Supersimkin2 · 06/04/2020 21:55

Be careful Allergic when you do your hero. Work with DSIs.

TheLongRider · 06/04/2020 22:04

Can you Photoshop Ollie into the Beatles photo of them crossing Abbey Road?

I hope Paws wasn't intruding in the background of your TV interview. I suspect that Ollie would do an excellent "Daily Mail sad face".

Allergic - I really hope your sister recovers.

coastergirl · 06/04/2020 22:04

Sorry I can't remember who asked...yes Bertie was a feral kitten. Still no sign of him. Two random cats in the traps this morning. Really thought one was him at first 😢

Hope you're all well in these scary times.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/04/2020 22:06

At least we know the trap works then. Keep trying.

Justonedayatatime11 · 06/04/2020 22:18

3 months, 3 flipping months and FINALLY he caved and decided lap and cuddles were acceptable. Bawling like a baby here!

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/04/2020 22:22

Maybe the other cats said it was ok.

Coaster Can you put flyers up or leaflets through a few doors?. Cats stick close to home. I’m sure I read more ssinf cats often weren’t that far away.

nettie434 · 06/04/2020 22:34

I hope Paws wasn't intruding in the background of your TV interview.

Agree that Ollie in one of his devoted poses would make the hardest hearted delivery driver rush round with provisions. It would be funny if someone recognised Paws from the TV though, TheLongRider. Or am I wrong in thinking nobody knows Paws’ origins?

Continuing to hope Bertie comes back and that Allergic’s sister gets better soon. That photo of Charlie (hope have remembered the right name) is amazing Justonedayatatime11. He still looks very imperious.

Hope you get your delivery soon ClientQueen.

ClientQueen · 06/04/2020 22:53

@nettie434 he lives on a road about half a mile away (paws). His real name is munch and he's about 18m - 2yo

nettie434 · 06/04/2020 23:03

Paws is much nicer name. I hope he is as good as Ollie about using the zebra crossing.

Papergirl1968 · 06/04/2020 23:16

Wow, half a mile is quite far for a cat to travel, Queen.
Lovely he has taken that step, Just.

Coaster I was reading a year old copy of the Daily Mail that I found with a load of paperwork in my house (Blush) and came across an article about a company called The Pet Detectives. Their founder Colin Butcher has a dog he uses to sniff out missing cats by following their scent. He wrote a book called Molly and Me about it.
They’re based in Horsham so I have no idea if that’s anywhere near you or what the cost is but just thought I’d mention it.

Fabulous photo Just. It's lovely when they trust you like that.

ClientQueen · 06/04/2020 23:39

He takes the short cut Grin through the gardens of the sheltered housing so unlike idiot Ollie he never goes near the main road
