I'm about to adopt the foster kitten we've had with us since birth.

Her name - which wasn't our choice - is Guppy. She's been Guppy for nearly 10 weeks now and it's stuck.

DS, DD and DH insist that that is her One True Name and cannot be changed but they'll concede that she can have a suitably similar alias for the vet.

Any suggestions? They've already vetoed Augusta and Agatha.

Regulation (and completely identifying) picture attached, I do hope.

Gertie? Gertrude? Gabby? Gabriel?

What about Pricilla / Cilla? The propper name for a guppy is Poecilia reticulata

OP I had pet mice, I have been called into the vet as Dr Squeek sashh an Slarty Bartfast sashh.
