I’ve just got back from the emergency vet - my beautiful cat had to be put to sleep.

It’s three in the morning and I’m so sad.

He was absolutely fine and then at midnight started yowling in distress and couldn’t weight bear.

Apparently he’d had a thrombus, a clot. He was put to sleep at 0145 as there’s nothing they could do for him.

I’m so upset. I’ve still got his fur on my cardigan. I’m going to miss him so much.

So sorry opThanks

What a lovely pic of him in the snow. I love seeing their little paw prints. The grief is real - they are a definite part of the family.

I’m sorry for your loss, he was beautiful

I'm so sorry. He was obviously much loved and cherished, an absolutely beautiful boy. It must have been so distressing to experience his pain and you took immediate action to help him. Flowers

Sidge Flowers I am so sorry to hear about your boy. He looks so cheeky and funny in the photos. You did the best and kindest thing for him but the grief is still awful.

Thank you all.

I keep waking up thinking I can feel him on my feet at the end of the bed 😕
