Someone would love a spa day :)

Ollivander84 · 29/08/2018 22:39

He might want a brush actually, we haven't done any grooming for a bit!

cozietoesie · 29/08/2018 22:43

Whatever it is, it will be related to self. Grin

Ollivander84 · 29/08/2018 22:52

The brush was approved of. I even have a little paw on my arm

I'm in bed with a furry face resting on shared pillow. Fat back half neatly tucked under duvet. Very gentle purring. Moral support doesn't come any better than this.

Ollivander84 · 30/08/2018 00:13

He's not tired apparently Hmm

get into your nightie and grab the dreamies. foolproof technique for getting anyone into bed :)

LanaorAna2 · 30/08/2018 08:55

Maybe not use that pose for the next modelling shoot Grin

Ollivander84 · 30/08/2018 09:13

Maybe not Grin he was insistent he wasn't going to bed despite the drooping eyes and snoring

OP posts:
LanaorAna2 · 30/08/2018 16:17

At least you had a night off the snoring. I had a substantial furry dead weight on me for ten hours, lovely. Back on me now.

Ollivander84 · 30/08/2018 16:18

He eventually went to bed on the sofa, didn't disturb me until the alarm at 5.45am
I haven't told him that I'm home for approx 45 mins today and working for 14hrs Blush

Boycat has taken to lying on my bed at night until some time after I fall asleep, assuming the Sphynx pose watching the TV. Which is very sweet & all that, but he does insist on lying exactly where my feet would normally be so I have to lie at an angle across the bed. Which again wouldn't be too bad, but the main reason I have a king size bed to myself is because I sleep with a bean bag for back/pelvis/leg reasons and I have to very carefully move that over to suit my new position without disturbing the lion guarding me.

LanaorAna2 · 30/08/2018 17:12

Of course you do Grin Boycat's personal security services don't come without client adjustments, you know.

LanaorAna2 · 30/08/2018 17:13

If it's any help, I can sleep in the lotus position on my back (yep - legs up like a frog, flat on back) because Mr C 'taught' me how.

cozietoesie · 30/08/2018 17:23

.....'taught'.......?? Grin

Allergictoironing · 30/08/2018 17:35

"Taught" is probably the right word - in the same way that schoolboys were "taught" in former times by caning if they didn't get something right!

cozietoesie · 30/08/2018 17:40

Ahhhhh. Gotcha! Grin

cozietoesie · 30/08/2018 17:47

Although I' m sure, of course, that Mr C is never too.......negative in his approach. Wink

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2018 18:16

Asbo has learnt that when the hair serum comes out the hair dryer follows and now leaves the room for a good sulk.

Allergic Put a fleece where he lies, when he's settled slide it across muttering "it's the same, there's no need for mardiness".

LanaorAna2 · 30/08/2018 18:50

No, Mr C only resorts to corporal punishment if he gets a shock when we're asleep.

We've just had mince. Well, he has, I'm cooking mine. I tried to make it Scottish ie stock cube and onion with a dollop of mash but I have no tatties! Let alone a neep. Couscous will have to do. Blush

Allergictoironing · 30/08/2018 19:43

Fluffy he only lies there after all bed time rituals have been completed (Dreamies for both next to the bed, Dreamies for him on the bed & various bits of me like my legs, Dreamies on the edge of the bed while he does otter impressions from the floor), and he and his sister have charged round the entire house a couple of times.

By that time I'm tucked in and prone, so he jumps up and lies squished against my leg until I move it over. If i get out from under the covers & don't immediately lie next to him (head at foot end of the bed, he has strong views about that) & stroke him, he jumps off in a huff. Remember this is a very special cat, anything different from his chosen routine is scary and often ends up with him hiding behind the sofa.

I just had roast chicken thighs Lana. Girlcat ignored me completely, Boycat had a sniff then wandered off without eating any. I may put the stock pan down, he sometimes has a bit of a lick of that if he's in the mood but hooman food is not for cats (except my home slow cooked gammon, that's acceptable in very small amounts)

LanaorAna2 · 30/08/2018 21:25

Mr C finished off the mince with onions. He's retired early. I rather wish he was a less adventurous diner Grin

Your gammon sounds lush. As for the bedtime rituals, we're both jealous.

My cousin has a new Bengal kitten. Entire family visiting en masse for adoration purposes on Sunday.

Ollivander84 · 30/08/2018 21:45

I'm still working... started job number 1 at 8am

Keep strong O you know who will be waiting with your slippers when you get in...

Allergictoironing · 31/08/2018 08:25

Lana Slow cooked gammon is possibly the easiest cooking ever. Stick it in a slow cooker with water, some brown sugar and a handful of cloves & leave it on for about 7 hours (add a bit of full fat cola if you fancy). Leave in the slow cooker to cool so it stays even more moist.

£2.65 for 750g in Asda.
