Testicle fixated kitten - for the love of god help me!

Our 8 month old kitten has developed an obsession with DS balls. Won't leave the poor boy alone. Follows him around the house jumping in his lap and 'padding' his balls if she gets the chance. Or she'll lie on his bed (at testicle level) rolling around, or pad, sniff and lick the seat he's just left.

It is incredibly annoying for him and whilst utterly hilarious for us, we would like it to stop.

Has anyone else encountered this? How can I stop her? It's so awful and weird.

She's got a new nickname "the perv" - poor little girl! Poor DS!

He has very good sense of honour and isn't at all embarrassed. We're on a small holding so randy animals acting inappropriately is part and parcel of every spring, they just aren't normally in the house

Our cat loves dh. Especially after he's been swimming. The chlorine drives her loopy. She does also seem to enjoy various molten brown bath gels too. I would change his shower gel. Poor ds. And poor purrvert, he's just not that in to her.

So true. She needs a couple of girlfriends to take her out in town and get her hammered and tell her to face up to the facts. Time to hold your tail up high and find a man who appreciates you, mini purrvert!

But he does love her as a friend, I hasten to add and has been stroking her today when she calmed down. I'd hate to see her drunk, she'd be belligerent, of course, and as she's a Siberian she'd be on the vodka. Neat, straight from the bottle.

That behaviour is typical of a cat in season. I don't suppose there is a local tom she could be introduced to.

When my carer has done anything with bleach my cat loves him more than normal, she almost turns herself inside out rubbing his hands.

Both my cats love to roll around and yawl on a freshly bleached floor too - sends them crackers :)

It's definitely him, not the shower gel etc. She's got one of his shoes now, the noise is incredible. 'Yaawwwwwlllll yoooooouuuuuaaallllll'

I suggested ds watch 'the shape of water' and be more open minded. He's outside in the garden with his eyes shut poor boy...

Be grateful. One of our boys shags things - mostly my clothes: my coat, scarves, socks, slippers, trousers etc. etc. He'd shag our other cat, but he won't stand for it. We doesn't care who's watching either. He's 10, and has done this since he was a kitten. And yes, he's had the snip.

Could he donate an old but worn T-shirt to line her bed. Maybe if she can sleep in his smell she'll leave him alone.

Years ago my parents had a cat who loved the smell of my Dad's worn shirts and would go and bury her nose in the armpits as soon as he took the shirt off.

That is a v clever plan....

I've just tucked DS up with 2 grapefruits, 4 clementines, 3 navel oranges and a lime - he's not impressed. I've not washed his PE kit yet so I'm going to line her favourite shoe box with it, sprinkle liberally with catnip and pheromone spray and leave it in the porch - hopefully we'll finally get some rest!

Spray the front of his trousers with something that cats don't like? Cataway? (Sorry, made that up, but there must be something?) Pepper? Vinegar?

My (male) cat loves to roll around in DH's running shorts before I put them in the washing machine. He seems to be attracted to the sweat/pheromone smell. He also loves Vicks/deep heat, so maybe don't rub that on ds's shorts as a pp recommended

My mum's cat goes a bit loopy over beach too and practically tried to climb inside my skin when I had been swimming. Last time a visited she kept nuzzling up to my armpit to lick at my deoderant (nothing fancy - probably Wilko own brand 'cotton fresh' or something)!!!

We had a very bad night last night but not kitties fault. A crow landed on DS skylight at 4am and cawed horrifically - like a harbinger of the apocalypse. We were freaking out and I had to run outside and hit a pan with a metal spoon to shut the nasty bastard down.

The cat was good as gold.

She's bee perturbed today as DS had a friend round and played Fifa. But the friend was very cuddly so kitty distracted temporarily......

We have a female perv cat too, only it's my late 50's DH and they've both had the op. The cat follows him into the bathroom every morning, sits on his sink and watches him shave and then stares transfixed at him naked in the shower. She then follows him around, twerking her arse and writhing on the floor flashing her bits. God forbid that she every gets into the bathroom when he's peeing again - straight onto the rim of the toilet bowl and head straight into the stream.
