The litter tray

Should I do anything about a smelly splint??

The dressing has been on her leg for two weeks one more week to go thank god. It’s not bothered her too much. She has a go when I take her collar off so she can wash herself. There is a small bald patch at the top of the dressing. Not broken down. Trouble is that it smells. I thought she had wind as she’s bee
Living off Gourmet which she’s never had before and which she seems to be addicted to. Is it that bad for her she’s housebound so I’m giving her what she wants. I’ve. put my nose to the dressing and it does pong I’m scared there’s a sore there but I can’t see anything and it’s all intact. I’m also scared that if I go back to the vets she will redress it and add more weeks to it which is what happened when she the pot fell off.

Could it be just generally using the litter tray do you think?

Sounds as if you're being paid back.

Do you know if she's drinking?

I think so. She was yesterday. Shes only eating dreamies Confused she never even liked them before. Im going to Pets at Home later i may have to change her food to Felix or something else i dont normally allow except for the poor ferals outside she probably ate five pieces of good auality dry last night and today she just wont go near the wet.

Good Luck Each you have been brilliant. If you have to go to work, go once only. Kitty matters more!

Felix As good as it looks Doubly Delicious. (I buy the meat flavour but she may be 'fishy'.) Gawd knows what's in it but never had anyone say 'No', yet.

Perhaps, just to get her eating again, try hot roast chicken, or sardines

Bah do you think mine will eat roasted chicken?? Funnily I got one reduced from
Marks yesterday from £7 to £1.35! I’ll give it ago but no doubt it will end up with the waifs and strays outside. They had smoked haddock last night I’m clearing the freezer for my confinement.

Maybe it's death due to other causes?

Yes I hope so it might’ve fallen out of a tree it has no injuries it was probably the boy next door. He’s just eaten Daphne’s chicken. He’s 17 bless him.

On the other hand, you may have discovered the reason for the apparent lack of appetite? Wink

It fell out of a tree onto the carpet so tidily?

Blimey Each you have been going thru the mill. I'm so sorry for all the struggle with Daphne and the worry about you both. Really hope she stops over grooming now both ends of her have been liberated from their respective limitations. And that she eats something, anything!!

Yes her paw has scabbed over nicely. The vet nurse who is coming to look after them has left the practice I found out yesterday. She says she will still come so I’m not worrying about it. I’ve got this week to concentrate on myself and then I’m in next Tuesday.

Weve had success on the food front she just came to me asking to be fed. She had something called Core Wellness. Ive never heard of it before. I just grabbed a variety today from PAH.

Shes outside listening to the traditional romanian folk music playing full blast. They both love hearing the music and dancing on a weekend! As long as they blinking stop by bedtime im up at 6!

Ill have to go back to PAH this week and get the food in. I cant believe how expensive it is compared to zooplus byt ive never heard of the Core brand.

Cats will generally eat the most expensive food - until you buy more of it. Grin

If she's eating again, I'd try some of her usual..........

I was wondering if she'd decided to go for the most expensive! Glad things are back to normal and hope these last shifts are straightforward ones.

Just tomorrow and nights at the end of the week. Im thinking of getting the sitter to come in even for afew days after im back what do you think? If i book her for a week its £70 for once a day. Although she did look surprised when i mentioned Dolly so i hope she isnt going to up it like my last one did. I swear the good cattery is not much more expensive and its a pity its full.
