'Dripping'. You all must have been wealthy! Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/04/2018 14:28

Nah - I just read a load of Enid Blyton!

Ollivander84 · 29/04/2018 14:57

O woke me up this morning, you know when you're still half asleep? I was stroking his head and he randomly "bit" my finger. I say bit, he had my finger in his mouth lengthways and sat looking surprised. No malice there, but I'm not sure who was more confused, me or him Grin
He's demolished THREE pouches of applaws so far today

Puts PB's eating in perspective. Grin

Ollivander84 · 29/04/2018 15:05

At least he doesn't mistake your finger for a tasty snack Hmm
I politely requested my finger back and he was most obliging

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/04/2018 15:08

Oh, that's Mama, not food (?)

Ollivander84 · 29/04/2018 15:10

I'm not entirely sure, he just grabbed my finger and sat with it in his mouth Confused no actual chewing

Oh dear £440 what a sickener. Still asbo got a lot of bang for your buck and the vet remains more upset than you will ever be Grin

LanaorAna2 · 29/04/2018 15:15

I've poisoned myself so badly on reduced food I am having to admit it. Crab was a fiver down to £1. I ate the lot 'in case it went off'. Mr C wouldn't touch it, he's ok.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/04/2018 15:59

Oh no, I've done it with chicken. Hopefully it won't last too long.

LanaorAna2 · 29/04/2018 17:11

I am back on peak form and about to fob off the reduced smoked salmon on my mate Grin

Weezol · 29/04/2018 17:28

Forgot to include Weezolcat's two other 'things that get really, really concentrated on with burning intensity'.

  1. My mum. She luffs my mum. Will dismiss me all day and suddenly shimmer in to view the minute my mum phones. When my mum is staying, leaving day is fraught. Long sits on the packed bag. Much lengthy lamenting in the hall after mum has gone.

  2. Cotton buds. They are her crack

Like PB, she has ishoos. The history of the first year of her life is patchy, but mostly unpleasant. It's been a long but rewarding road (six years to the point where she'll now sit almost on me). I think she quite likes me now. She definitely trusts me though, that's been clear recently.

cozietoesie · 29/04/2018 17:30

I found a sirloin steak in the freezer last night and have just cooked it.

Some offcuts and juices proved .........acceptable. Grin ( PB has almost become emotional.)

LanaorAna2 · 29/04/2018 18:07

Drool.... C . Enjoy!!

cozietoesie · 29/04/2018 18:26

He had some as an additionality and not as a substitute. (He's now tucking into some Nature's Menu - which received a 'Mung-ung' Smile)

Ollivander84 · 29/04/2018 18:45

O has eaten a full bowl of the natures menu new dry stuff, 3 applaws pouches and 1 applaws pate Confused

cozietoesie · 29/04/2018 19:00

That would be - what you gave him? Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 29/04/2018 19:07

I had to give in and light the fire. I can't believe how cold it is for end of April. Needless to say, someone is pleased!

What is going on with this weather Weeds? Well done on the creature comforts of nutrition and warmth - heating's broken down at this end.

It's Victorian melodrama here, me and Mr C painfully frail shivering waifs struggling in the freezing rain.

(Disclaimer: for 'frail' read 'fat'; for 'shivering' read 'whingeing'; for 'freezing rain' read 'nice soft duvet'.)

We're on two elec blankets with a side of heater, heated throw, the works.

Mug of soup in my little blue hands etc. (for 'soup' read 'wine'.)

Weedsnseeds1 · 29/04/2018 21:24

Mulled wine is what you need Lana !

LanaorAna2 · 29/04/2018 21:41

Yumza! with a Twirl dipper Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 29/04/2018 21:56

Or maybe just cheap, neat gin, for a true Dickensian vibe?

cozietoesie · 29/04/2018 22:44

Hush, Weeds. Grin

LanaorAna2 · 29/04/2018 22:48

Oh, for the Good Old Days when orphans were orphans and breakfast was a pint of mother's ruin for tuppence

Round my way in the 18th century, the average Londoner drank two pints of gin a week.

Amateurs. I love cheap gin. Tesco value is both refreshing and useful for handy household cleaning in an emergency.
