Realised I filled up the last thread with inanity!

Come one, come all, what's your cat up to today?

Mine are pleased that I'm home in time for the end of Pointless. Unfortunately they hate Pointless and would rather sit outside in the rain glowering in at me.

Having had a night on the tiles, Basil is now unconscious on the bed - (dreaming of a life before kittens?)

It's washing time for Phineas

Each your cats are amazing. I love that they are tolerant enough to let you feed local ferals........ mine acts as if his world is ending if another cat so much as looks over the fence into the garden 🙀

Mine too Ski! I get a lot of frantic headbutts and meows if an intruder arrives

At the moment they're having a nice relaxing evening.... in my bed...

So far today 15-year-old DCat has:

• cried, pawed and licked her humans awake
• cried for breakfast and eaten breakfast
• watched sparrows through the kitchen window
• taken a tour of the top of the bookcases
• had a quick nap on DH's lap
• cried for snacks and eaten snacks
• meowed randomly
• ran up and down the stairs
• cried for more snacks and been denied

This is the current situation. Yes, there's a cat under that (hairy) blanket.

It's an exciting life.

I found a big pile of feathers under my bed when I got home from work today..... I’ve been looking for a partially dismembered bird for an hour but nothing yet.....

We keep the dreamies in a tupperware box with a t rex on it. This morning we were awoken by odd scraping sounds and then a crash, then more scraping.

Bloody cats had managed to drag the dreamy box across the hall and push it through the bannisters onto the lower landing, clearly hoping it would burst open!! We laughed at their failure but are slightly alarmed at the ingenuity....

Had to clean & trim her poo trews this morning. Lots of screaming & slapping. All sorts caught up in them! She sloped off to the bins, close to where the little birdies live in the hedge, in the hope of taking it out on one of them. What a palaver.

Aww, well done Basil. They look so sweet together.

I'm afraid Sybil is still sulking (big time) although she has at least come into the living room a few times over the last few days so we are seeing some improvement. I suspect Basil only approves of the kittens because he seems to prefer their food to his own

One of my cats is in his usual place on DH's knee but he just looks extra gorgeous and fluffy tonight.

What IS that expression? It's somewhere between surprise, guilt, denial and defiance.

It's an "Are you really surprised?" expression.

Luco tore into and ate half a loaf of bread overnight..

I like to think of it as "just slowly turn around and walk away, if you know what's best for you, puny human..."

Little does she know she's about to be bundled into a cat carrier and driven an hour up the road for a holiday with her grand-humans. She'll yell the entire way there, but as soon as she arrives will be all over my dad who will lavish her with dreamies

Currently hiding under his favourite bush after having suffered the indignity of having his regular ‘spot on’ treatment. I keep doing regular checks on him after witnessing him desperately licking at the place it went on - despite the fact that it shouldn’t be physically possible for him to do it! I swear he is half snake half cat!

Daphne managed to remove the pot off her leg so we had a mad rush back to the vets this week. The girls haven’t spoke to each other since it happened two weeks ago but tonight they made friends again.

I am currently completely incapussitated by the kittens who are either running around like mad things or demanding a lap. I have relented to the lap request .
