What's your DCat up to today? Episode 6, Return of the... Cats?

Realised I filled up the last thread with inanity!

Come one, come all, what's your cat up to today?

Mine are pleased that I'm home in time for the end of Pointless. Unfortunately they hate Pointless and would rather sit outside in the rain glowering in at me.

DCat is being magnificent today. DH has real flu (not man flu) and DCat is an excellent nurse, sitting on his chest to absorb the excess heat from his temperature, swiping his brow with a paw occasionally to swag the salt from his sweat. He's even attempted a hydration intervention by drooling into DH's mouth but perversely, DH insists on preferring Lemsip.

She stood on my left hand earlier!! She looked hilarious balancing on my palm!

I tried to keep as still as possible whilst my right hand was scrabbling around for my phone to take a pic. Then the bugger moved :(

Came back from town, she had a few treats, then buggered off out to do a bit of bird spotting. Other one's in bed. No pics, I'm afraid.

We give the cats treats (aka Dreamies, sticks, etc) around 10 pm sometimes. On Saturdays, DH usually buys a big bag of sweets from Lidl, like Opal fruits for us to eat, while watching TV in the evening. He got some yesterday, being a bank holiday.

Last night we were duly eating our sweets - the cats got more and more wound up at the crinkling of the plastic bag! In the end, both were sitting there, giving us the evils, clearly thinking we were stuffing ourselves with Dreamies, without giving them any! If looks could kill, we'd be dead!

DH had to get the Dreamies out, just to pacify them!

Ah yes checklist - one or other of us can often be heard exclaiming "nooo these are PEOPLE dreamies!" When they are trying to get into our sweets 😂

Maisie gave me a fright this morning - gently patting the top of my head as I passed this ladder!

Today Heidi has been snoozing on my newly made with fresh covers bed and is about to be brushed. However, she will only let me brush her magnificent floofyness if I let her bite the brush first

We've just got back after being away for a day and a half..Ernie hasn't let us out of his sight much and keeps running back inside to see if we are still here.

He's spent an age sniffing his bush and other foliage...you would think he hadn't been out for week

Mine are proper fed up of the rain now they keep running out incase its stopped. Dolly is clearly the clever one who gets on bottom bunk.

Thats because they are eating me out of house and home! The black face one had kittens on my doorstep last year and we suspect the little shy one with the extra toes is the father. TCN did a fantastic job and the kittens got rehomed sadly the parents are too feral but you wouldn't think so to look at them. They sleep in a waterproof carrier and i dont know what i will do in the Summer when the suns out as it will be far too hot in there.

Biscuit loves the new bed. It looks like he's tiny, but it is actually a bed for a large dog.
