Worried sick - 2yo boy cat has not been seen since Friday

Where could he be hiding?!

We've knocked on doors up and down the road today, no one has seen him. DH has looked in the field behind us. Nothing. I've called and called. Favourite scratch post is outside. Still nothing.

I'm most worried as we've got a building site / housing development a few hundred yards south of us, behind our road. What if he's laying there injured and we can't get to him? 😢

I've shared his picture on social media, as have Cats Protection.

My anxiety is going through the roof. Bunny was killed by a fox 3 weeks ago - now my anxiety imagination is wondering if he's suffered the same fate.

He's under total house arrest! Forever!!

He has to stay in for a few weeks to build his weight and strength back up. We've had a confirmed case of UK Animal Killer nearby so I've been keeping the other cats in anyway. Don't want that sicko getting his/her/their hands on one of mine

He looks very happy to be home. He's sleeping a lot, but staying very close. He's also very vocal, calling out a lot then purring hard when he's stroked / comforted. Goodness only knows what the poor lad has been through!

So glad he's home. Cat you cat proof the garden? I would be keeping him in too.

I ended up with quite a big campaign to find him... I'm getting random strangers coming up to me in Tesco congratulating me. I've even had a card through the door addressed to him saying welcome home signed 'Cat Lover' and the street opposite me. Very weird! Might have to move house and change my name 😂

Amazing! Such brilliant news and well done for your persistence - that’s what has brought him home. Have you heard of cat proofing? I’d highly recommend it as a way to keep your cats safe and well.
