I don't think anyone's begun a new thread yet?

Hope you don't mind Cozie. Smile Newboy's Fairy God(cat)mothers love hearing about his progress.

He’ll come up on the bed like a shot as long as he thinks there’s something in it for him. Smile

Then he gets down.

cozietoesie · 24/10/2017 17:44

That could actually be a post straight from ‘Relationships’. Blush

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/10/2017 18:21

It could indeed. Males of all species are the same.

He's a tough nut to crack.

L I was thinking about mr c & his laptop obsession earlier, have you got a suitcase to secrete it in?. You can padlock it in then.

Pc world should hire him as product testing. I bet all the Apple Macs would stand up to it.

Lanaorana2 · 24/10/2017 18:39

So true. Mr C takes up all the bed and suffers nightly with gas. Doesn't help with the washing up, likes a drink. What can you do, it's the patriarchy innit Grin

Yes Yes Yes F that is a brilliant idea for the nights BUT he stalks me when I am typing on pc in Deep Thought, then lands on it. Screaming etc from me too late. He's doing it because I am concentrating on Not Him, another fatal feminine flaw in his beady male eyes. Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/10/2017 18:58

So we need to crate you for your own protection like a puppy being protected from marauding toddlers armed with play hammers.

cozietoesie · 24/10/2017 19:54

He certainly is a tough nut.

Lanaorana2 · 24/10/2017 20:45

Basikerly, er, yes. The mac is the only one he didn't break, you're dead right (I did, ancient, no tragedy).

He is on me now, covered in flour. Liver night. He has rejected it, luckily, as I think it's bad for cats, but only after diving headfirst into the pan.

He really has got the sweetest nature, tho'. Tiny helpless little scrap of fur, not his fault he struggles with weight gain, appetite challenges and giant paws.

cozietoesie · 24/10/2017 21:46

He wouldn’t struggle with weight gain quite so much if he wasn’t indulged, I think?

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/10/2017 22:19

The phrase we use in this house is "properly looked after" Wink

Lanaorana2 · 24/10/2017 22:50

Thank you F - I'm lost for words but my phrase would be something from the a legal lexicon of crime eg 'begging with menaces, guilty as charged'. :)

He is indulged but he's a very big noisy cat. I am a small, fond spinster. We are both in full possession of these facts. What else was going to happen?

Seriously, I am getting him weighed next week and diet plan if nec.

cozietoesie · 25/10/2017 00:39

Ha!

What shall you do when the clocks change? (I’m considering a gradual adjustment over the next week.)

Allergictoironing · 25/10/2017 08:51

Already started that one at Allergic Towers Cosie, we're up to 9:10pm for supper which is usually served at 8:30.

Breakfast they can just have whenever I get up anyway - if it's late that's usually Boycat's fault for demanding cuddles before I'm allowed to get out of bed Grin.

cozietoesie · 25/10/2017 11:00

Well done all at AllergicTowers! Smile

Lanaorana2 · 25/10/2017 12:04

How was last night? I thought of you as I clung to the mattress piping at 4am. Not missing much. Grin

Ollivander84 · 25/10/2017 12:12

I was awake at 5am as Ollie decided to be sick on the patchwork quilt. Then the cream carpet Hmm

cozietoesie · 25/10/2017 17:15

At least he’s avoiding your shoes?

Ollivander84 · 25/10/2017 19:47

He whined mournfully when I shut him in the bathroom after the third vomit. But I wasn't risking any more soft furnishings!

Lanaorana2 · 25/10/2017 20:58

Mr C reminds me the clocks go back, funnily enough. The stream of service from the kitchen remains unaffected.

cozietoesie · 25/10/2017 21:09

I’m adjusting by half an hour tonight - apparently without protest. The remaining adjustment can be made at the weekend. Smile

Lanaorana2 · 25/10/2017 23:45

Tried Mr C on an all-pricy-biscuits diet today. Just come back from shop with tin of Whiskas.

cozietoesie · 26/10/2017 00:29

Terrible scenes here prior to Rescheduled Second Supper.

cozietoesie · 26/10/2017 00:44

Ah. Much is explained. I washed the curtains earlier and appear to have disturbed a couple of bluebottles in taking them down. He’s going bananas chasing them.

Gawd help the mice downstairs. I appear to have acquired a hunter.

Lanaorana2 · 26/10/2017 11:21

Grin Newboy is houseproud! he's helping you!

Sounds like he's having fun. Did you both enjoy restful slumber?

Is it true flies give cats fits? I hope not, but I've always taken them off an enraged Mr C.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2017 11:59

I don't think they do. Previous cats haven't had any problems but asbo only gets them if they make it easy for him.

Although he managed to eat a moth 7ft up a wall in the time it took me to get a glass & a card. Dh was laughing when I got back.

Allergictoironing · 26/10/2017 12:12

If flies gave cats fits, Girlcat would have been fitting all summer Grin. Her favorite occupation seems to be chasing gnats & midges round the house, and if she sees a big fly or a daddy longlegs total madness!
