Executive decision by Mr C.

Ah.

Lanaorana2 · 08/09/2017 22:03

Cross posts.

Oh dear , C, he's really been through the mill. I reckon he was last in the queue at mealtimes, he might just have done it automatically at your shadow or something.

But it's changing isn't it. I mean, he's hissing at you, but he hasn't run off or gone for you or anything. Old patterns will take their time to fade, esp as the poor baby has had to use this behaviour to survive. Literally.

Every day something new and nice happens. His tiny furry heart is starting to melt.

Luckily, I have almost inexhaustible patience when it comes to Siamese. (I reckon I'll need it with him. Grin)

There are small indications that he's improving. All told, progress - while slow - is fairly steady. Grin

cozietoesie · 08/09/2017 22:09

And he's using his scratching loungers like a good 'un. The valuable/cherished carpets haven't been touched. Smile

Lanaorana2 · 08/09/2017 22:13

Blimmin eck that is amazeballs re the carpets. So his early life has one advantage, at least.

Your patience is Newboy's emotional rescue. He is so lucky to have you.

and repeat x 100 (I hope not x 10,000 :))

There was something that the Vet Nuse said after looking at his records from his previous vet. Something about attending that vet for........stress. Made me wonder.

cozietoesie · 08/09/2017 22:22

He's talking from the top hall. It may just be 'conversation' but anxiety forces me to go check. (That's not normal for him yet.) What a flipping noise. Grin

Lanaorana2 · 08/09/2017 23:59

What's he saying? can't believe it, wot a breakthrough. :) :) :)

Well, stress is to be expected when he's been bullied and not protected. Hmmm.

Mr C's had stress, before I had him. In the interests of truthfulness, I should say after being spoiled senseless he still steals food, bites, kicks and shouts. What can you do eh :)

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 09/09/2017 00:01

It appeared to be conversation. Probably discussing the state of the Chinese economy or something! Grin

cozietoesie · 09/09/2017 00:01

Sorry. ......pontificating upon the state ..............Wink

Lanaorana2 · 09/09/2017 00:06

How intriguing....Grin

I wonder if he's pro or anti Brexit.

I had better turn the light out now. Mr C has snatched the best pillow and insinuated his massive bum under the duvet. He is purring with his tongue hanging out. I don't think he's got stress any more. Sleep well (if you can....:))

He's left one third of his midnight roast chicken. Either he's gone off it - not impossible - or I've managed to fill him up today or he's learning that he is Only Cat and can leave it to eat later....

We shall see. Smile

cozietoesie · 09/09/2017 00:54

Or a bit of all three, I suppose. Smile

Allergictoironing · 09/09/2017 08:29

Or possibly he has filled himself up on free range mice?

Lanaorana2 · 09/09/2017 09:40

See if it has gone this am. I reckon he is getting the (rosy) picture now. He is v bright. :)

Lidl Coshida cat sticks are 6.5p each as opposed to Waitrose own brand at 15p. My taste tester panel says there's no difference.

cozietoesie · 09/09/2017 11:03

It was gone this morning. Smile

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/09/2017 11:10

He took it down to the basement and used it as bait to catch mice.

Ollivander84 · 09/09/2017 11:18

Yet Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/09/2017 11:24

We call them swallow sticks, no chewing is involved here.

Lanaorana2 · 09/09/2017 18:34

Try breaking them up into pieces while 20 claws are flailing you, that's my technique.

I awoke with strange stab wounds to most limbs. Thus purchased a soft toy snake which I shall be inserting into the bed to see if that takes the midnight aggro.

EachandEveryone · 09/09/2017 20:07

Is Coshida food any good? My kitten is addicted to the dry stuff but I'm no expert yet.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/09/2017 20:12

I think it's got cereals in it. Their wet food bar the pate trays has cereal.

Lanaorana2 · 09/09/2017 20:23

Mr C will just about tolerate Coshida luxe which is nearer 2 quid than the plain Coshida. Go for it, he rejects stuff at three times the price.

A new low in petcare: just shouted 'Sharing is caring' at my fat cat who won't let me near the heated throw.

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 09/09/2017 20:25

Grin I've just tried Ollie with the heated throw. He put one paw on it, looked at me, his paw and then the blanket and stepped backwards off it. Very much "no FANK YOOOOO"

Lanaorana2 · 09/09/2017 20:47

Don't be fooled for a second. That's how it starts.

Am now on end of throw.
