Afraid so. Blush It costs an arm and a leg, though, so he now has Lick E Lix for Second Supper.

Ollivander84 · 15/09/2017 00:01

Second supper?

He's probably trying to tell you everything all at once cozie, and isn't sure where to start. He sounds overwhelmed, but in a good way. V. nice (and so correct) what Lana said about loving being in the process.

That is so sad that he responds happily to a brisk word. How does he behave after an admonishment? My 2 just look puzzled when I tell them off. Or aim a "playful" paw-punch at me.

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 00:26

After admonishment? He runs - and then behaves impeccably. What's particularly sad is that he doesn't have lurrrvvv to help him on his path. He won't be doing with it at the moment. Sad

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 00:28

He actually has 3 suppers, Ollivander. The third one we call 'Midnight Chicken'. Grin

Ollivander84 · 15/09/2017 00:30

Poor boy. Saying that I asked (and only asked!) Ollie who emptied the bin bag, he glanced at me and hurtled out the window 🙄🙄 returning an hour later with a slightly guilty look

He's definitely improving with his watching of you and the starting to talk. I imagine once he finds his feet he will be chatting constantly at you

Ollivander84 · 15/09/2017 00:32

Random question for you to ponder as well. Two Siamese siblings, both female. Got together as kittens from same litter, in the same home, nothing has changed at all, they've grown up together. Suddenly age 5-6 they've started fighting, for no apparent reason. Feliway has made no difference. Owner is pregnant but has been pregnant before with the cats about and had no effect. That's about all I know but any thoughts?

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 00:35

They can 'take against' another cat. (The pregnancy likely won't help.) Siamese are warriors, I fear.

Ollivander84 · 15/09/2017 00:36

It's so strange. They've always got on fine and been curled up together since kittens but suddenly can't stand each other
(This isn't her first dealings with Siamese, she's a big fan!)

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 00:38

Unfortunately, those feelings are unlikely to change now - in my experience. Are there any big new toms or other cats on the block? (Just in case something has 'stirred them up'.)

Ollivander84 · 15/09/2017 00:39

Nope, nothing at all. Very quiet area

Lanaorana2 · 15/09/2017 10:46

This thread is the first time I have ever known anyone use a beloved children's classic as a petcare manual - Six Dinner Sid.

M heheheh 'playful' paw. Mr C doesn't pay any attention either except when it's serious eg he is 'warming his tummy' on the gas flame. Tbh, Little M and Mcat are pretty bright, that's the main thing, so you don't need to get heavy on them for their own safety.

My parents were at the bomb just now. Both fine, obv, but DM is super-grumpy because their cats are 'stressed and missed breakfast'. Helicopter noise a bit of a grind, been going on for hours.

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 13:47

Ollivander

Has she already got a 'high up perch' where one of them might go?

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 13:50

'warming his tummy on the gas flame' ??? Shock

Ollivander84 · 15/09/2017 13:51

Yep. Lots of places to go as well, it's an older house with hiding spots

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 13:54

Achhh. Sad

Lanaorana2 · 15/09/2017 13:55

Well, trying to steal food from a boiling pan as well. Greedy. Then he gave up and used the hob as a heater, determined to get something out of the effort of getting onto the stove. Greedy yet sharp. Grin

Ollivander84 · 15/09/2017 13:55

She's looking at rehoming one of them. I briefly contemplated if Ollie would like a Siamese sister

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 13:55

Out of interest, what are their sleeping arrangements ? (In case there's jealousy creeping in.)

Ollivander84 · 15/09/2017 13:57

It's pretty much wherever they fancy! Not sure what they are choosing at the minute but they have open access to wherever they like

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 13:57

Well Newboy was rehomed due to a bad turf war - with another Siamese. (Blood had been drawn.)

cozietoesie · 15/09/2017 13:59

So neither of them sleep with her? (As a matter of regularity.)

Ollivander84 · 15/09/2017 14:01

No, the dog tends to do that! Often sleep on the child's bed though but usually during the day
