No. More. Sick
I cannot cope 😂 (I'm phobic)

Oh! I thought you were a nurse?

Vinorosso74 · 06/10/2017 13:28

Hope these vomiting kitties are better soon. Vinocat was a bit off on Monday and did a couple of quite spectacular vomits. I am never having carpet in the hall or lounge again ever.

Ollivander84 · 06/10/2017 13:30

Yet - nope! Weirdly I'm fine if other people are being sick, it's myself and animals I can't cope with. I did CPR on a guy that had blood/vomit/poo everywhere and didn't bat an eyelid Confused
(Dispatcher, think 999 what's your emergency!)

Aaaand Vinocat puts his hat in the chunder olympics.

I don't know why I thought you were a nurse Ollivander! I can't stand other people's bodily fluids, but I don't mind my own apart from blood. For some reason, cat puke does not bother me too much.

Ollie hasn't been sick for 90 mins but I guarantee if I cancel the vet he will start again

EachandEveryone · 06/10/2017 14:04

Its because half of us seem to be nurses on here! Saying that, do you think they can catch things off humans? Half of my ward is off with d and v there seems to be loads of it around. I never thought so much vomit could come out of a little cat. Shes going to go mad at the bus stop in this weather. Ive had about two hours sleep i hope M and S have a dine in on this week i just cannot be bothered to cook.

Ollivander84 · 06/10/2017 15:44

Ollie has had an anti sickness jab, his steroid jab and the eye drops all done. Vet said if he's still being sick tomorrow am he needs to come back

OP posts:
EachandEveryone · 06/10/2017 15:54

Oh that's good has he had that jab before? I've never been on official business before do you pay upfront? I think my consultations are £40 does that sound right?

Mine are having a lovely time today I dread putting her into her box.

Ollivander84 · 06/10/2017 15:55

He has the steroid one every 8 weeks anyway. Yep paid after we saw the vet

EachandEveryone · 06/10/2017 17:49

She's had the anti vomit injection and they said to come back for bloods but I've asked them to do them now. She has a temperature. She thinks it's a gastro bug but can't rule out pancreatitis. £280! This will be the first time I've claimed.

Vinorosso74 · 06/10/2017 18:14

Oh no poor Dolly, she's still a baby. Hopefully it is just a big which is taking a while to shift.
I assume Ollie didn't vomit on the vet this time?

EachandEveryone · 06/10/2017 18:25

Good job I got some overtime pay today. Any advice on getting capsules into her?

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/10/2017 18:43

They can often be opened and mixed in the food. The patient info leaflet will be online.

Vinorosso74 · 06/10/2017 18:45

I get ours on the kitchen table (I know but it's the right height). Get her up against my chest, open mouth with head back, tablet at back of mouth, stroke throat in one direction until tablet swallowed.
I have to say it is trial and error the best method for each cat. However, confidence and swift action is key! I have had plenty practise with Vinocat!

Ollivander84 · 06/10/2017 18:57

No vomit on the vet Grin and he's trying to eat my Jamie Oliver chicken recipe so he can't be feeling too bad

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/10/2017 22:37

All the best to Ollie and Dolly.

Weedsnseeds1 · 06/10/2017 23:10

Sounds logical to me each we can catch things from animals, so sure the other way round is possible.
Since the "incident" on Monday I am getting upward of three rodents / birds a day as peace offerings Hmm

Weedsnseeds1 · 06/10/2017 23:34

Floofy winter tail is coming along nicely Grin

I'm not having a good day my flatmate has complained she keeps finding Dolly sat on the kitchen counter. The cupboards are full of antibacterial wipes and sprays surely anyone before they cooks has to clean first no matter. I've told her to look fir somewhere else.

I got mugged at 7am today so I'm not in a good mood. I'm only doing overtime as well.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/10/2017 10:10

Oh each that's awful, are you ok?.

EachandEveryone · 07/10/2017 10:15

Yes I'm shaken up and angry more than anything. The police came to work very quickly. She was very persistent took all my food!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 07/10/2017 10:19

Oh Each! I'm so sorry. Were you at work?
