Dropped her off at 9.15 this morning. I hate this! I am sitting here with my phone willing it to ring so I can get her back.

She wasn't able to have anything to eat from 8pm last night so she wasn't very happy. Then getting put in the carrier.

I feel for you. You know it's for them... but they make you feel like shit for it!

Hope you hear soon.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/07/2017 12:19

Oh I hate it when their away from me too. Poor sparkling cat.

Sparklingbrook · 10/07/2017 12:42

Thanks both!

They said they might ring at one-ish. But she is last on the list as it's a dirty procedure. Sad

It's mad isn't it. I just can't settle.

Poor Sparklingcat and poor you. She'll feel much better for it when it's done, so it's worth it even though it's horrible for you while she's at the vets - and not much fun for her either.

My now dear departed DramaCat had one done a few years ago and he was definitely happier afterwards. He could munch on biscuits, instead of just the packet stuff.

SpicedGingerTea · 10/07/2017 12:54

Same predicament here, I'm pacing too waiting to hear about TrickyCat. Not in for a dental, but having his ear cleaned as he has a bad infection. First time he's been in the vets for this long. They said they'd ring me between 12 - 2, and it is DRAGGING,.....! His sister is looking a bit confused too, wondering where he is.

Fingers crossed they both come home safely. Smile

PersianCatLady · 10/07/2017 12:57

It is bloody awful waiting for the vet to ring you to collect your pet.

Every second feels like a day and then they call you hours after they said they would because they were busy.

Absolutely hate it.

Sparklingbrook · 10/07/2017 12:59

She did say 'Don't worry we're open til 7pm tonight'. Shock

Oh no Tricky that sounds painful. Hope they call you soon.

Sparklingbrook · 10/07/2017 13:04

YY and I will not fear her breath when yawning in my face any more. Grin

Hope you get the call soon and sparklingcat returns soon.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/07/2017 13:07

Poor you, they're our furry babies, aren't they? 😺Xxx

Sparklingbrook · 10/07/2017 13:09

They really are. Especially now I have teens and I am more often than not surplus to requirements for them!

I have a 4 year old DS who despairs of me. He said earlier 'You need to stop worrying, he will be ok'. Smile

My vet also said 'collection between 4-7, but may be nearer 7'. 7pm?! Argh!

Sparklingbrook · 10/07/2017 13:30

DS1 is 18 and he has been considerably Hmm at my worry.

Well they have just rung to say she's all done and it all went ok, no extractions and she's awake. Yay!

I can go and pick her up at 3.30pm. That's ages away!

I know, now ds ignores me unless he needs feeding I'm very grateful for the cat's cuddlesGrin

SpicedGingerTea · 10/07/2017 13:38

Excellent, glad you've heard back and she's ok. Smile

DramaAlpaca · 10/07/2017 13:48

Good news, glad she's OK.

WinnieTheWitch50 · 10/07/2017 14:44

timtam23 · 10/07/2017 16:19

Glad she's ok.
When my old cat went in to have half his thyroid removed, I cried. The vet nurse did a Hmm face at me, I'm sure she thought I was overly-invested in the cat's welfare but they are so much part of the family aren't they.

Sparklingbrook · 10/07/2017 16:56

She's home. Bit drunk and ravenous!

Any news Tricky?

Hows Dudley TimTam?

Hope tricky kitty is ok too.

BlueAndYou · 10/07/2017 17:35

I hope it all goes okay OP Flowers

I often stumble upon these cat themed threads.

They're like your little babies, aren't they?

I believe there's even a DCat terminology. I love it Star

Sparklingbrook · 10/07/2017 19:02

She's lying on the bench in the garden now. Smile

Aw Dudley is lovely.
