Daphne is getting stoned whilst her sister looks on in disgust. I'm off to work last night!

My two were accidentally stoned last night - cat toy came with free bag of nip and fell out of box and they rolled around on the floor, got the zoomies and passed out.

Thought Biscuit might too young but he was certainly not immune!

EachandEveryone · 08/07/2017 19:01

Ah it only started working for Daph since she was about ten months I treat her every other night before I go to work.is it harmful?

TheCatOfAthenry · 08/07/2017 19:05

Apparently not!

TheCatOfAthenry · 08/07/2017 20:47

Biscuit on his walkies!

Biscuit is getting big now.

The cattery has said mines eating well & using his hammock.

He's going to want a hammock now. I'm going to get a photo of the cat trees they have because it is basically a sisal covered real tree with a hammock.

EachandEveryone · 08/07/2017 22:49

That sounds very glamorous.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/07/2017 22:56

I can't find anything similar on google images. It would fill my utility room.

cozietoesie · 08/07/2017 23:25

There are loads of instructions on the net, Fluffy. It seems to be a case of 'First get your tree......'

Know any foresters? And how handy is DH?Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 09/07/2017 09:51

Cats are on form this morning. Old cat crapped in his bowl of munchies in the night (was that really easier than the litter tray?) and Sybil came in this morning with an enormous tick on her head.

TheCatOfAthenry · 09/07/2017 11:24

Mine are officially using the tray on the toilet!

Now time to progressively cut holes.

Not too unlike training a nervous toddler. Grin

EachandEveryone · 09/07/2017 13:00

How old are they? How long adcthat taken? Amazing

yantzee · 09/07/2017 15:27

Can I join?? Here's my contribution

Is tummy rubbing allowed?

Cozie Not that handy. The catterys is brand new, I bet he's destroyed it.

OliviaStabler · 09/07/2017 16:37

@cozietoesie We are here looking after my Dad for a few weeks. She's not going to like the journey back either but a few prawns from a prawn mayo sandwich halfway does help a bit Grin

TheCatOfAthenry · 09/07/2017 17:04

@EachandEveryone are you asking me? 2 days. Even though we have 3 trays for 2, they only use the one.

Day one, moved tray to spare loo. Yesterday put insert on the loo. First holes tomorrow I think.

Will need a sieve to prevent cats falling in when we're at work I think!

That's the one thing I'm seriously concerned about. On my very top landing, I have a bookcase in front of the top banisters. In theory, if you leapt on to that and overshot, there's nowhere to go but the bottom stairs about 12 ft below. Yikes.

Newboy is using the stairs at the moment and avoiding it but the day may come when he feels more adventurous.

caoraich · 09/07/2017 18:18

yantzee - gorgeous markings!

DP is on night shift and much more tired than normal so was still asleep at 6pm. Freya is very annoyed that someone is in HER post-tea nap spot (aka DP's pillow, he doesn't mind...) and so she has decided to make herself into a scarf for me instead. I don't mind either Grin

Ernie has spent the last few day going off a wandering...in via next doors gate, into their garden and over the wall into the garden at the back....it was his little friend who led him astray last week and he hasn't forgotten. I usually give him an hour and call him back and he usually does....covered in sticky bombs

I know he will probably wander off for longer now, so try not to panic.. OH on the otehr hand is usually straight out after him.

Ern has never been very vocal, I was up when OH came home the other morning and Ernie stood in the corner of the garden and meow-ed for ages..I have never heard him so vocal..not sure what he was after and OH says he regularily stands there and just meows... I wonder if his friend is out there.

Anyway...I think he is glad we took the fountain off the water feature as he loves to lick off the stone. It took him several tries and some wet paws to figure it out

I got a gift from Boycat today - his first hairball coughed up all over his favorite throw on the sofa!

Can't complain, they have owned me for nearly 14 months now...

cozietoesie · 09/07/2017 22:19

One hairball vomit in 14 months is pretty good going. Smile

TheCatOfAthenry · 09/07/2017 22:25

Good going indeed! I had two in the first month from Cookie.

dementedpixie · 09/07/2017 22:26

My kitties seem to be surviving us being away and are getting more used to the cat sitter. Missing them a lot. Dusty keeps stepping into the cat sitters back if she puts food down or is picking up cat litter!
