Pressed send too soon! Google seems to think that they aren't but I've heard mixed stories - my cat seems fine ( was a couple of hours ago ) so can I relax now?

Ollivander84 · 31/07/2017 20:32

Ollie has just come running in to announce he needed a poo so he had come home for it Confused
Why do I get the cat that won't even wee outside?!? Also, I don't know what he's been eating but I just had to open all the windows < gags >

Oh dear not pleasant.....
I'm missing our old girl, got back from holiday last night then off to my parents tomorrow so Vinocat is having her longest ever cattery stay. Would have felt mean bringing her home for one day but our flat doesn't feel right.

cozietoesie · 31/07/2017 22:01

She's better off just staying there. You did the right thing.

Vinorosso74 · 31/07/2017 22:15

Oh yes it is the right thing. I posted photos of the looks the night before we took her and I don't think I could have handled them again!

EachandEveryone · 31/07/2017 22:33

How lng will she be there for? Mine did two weeks when the bulders were in and was totally fine. Are they updating you?

caoraich · 31/07/2017 22:38

Each I have no idea but that second photo is hilarious! It's like she's recreating some melodramatic renaissance painting

We are feeling weirdly sad. Before Maisie we had Freya's sister Juno, who was sadly run over at Christmas. We've had a shit couple of days staying with MIL and unlike current cats Juno always had a knack for identifying distressed-humans and would wrap herself round your neck like a scarf and purr in your ear. We both woke up this morning and independently said how much we were missing her Sad

(obviously missing Freya and Maisie too, who were having a lovely time at home with my soft-touch friend who adores them and takes photos of them for her "lifestyle blog"....)

But never mind, home now and DP has gone off to work. Maisie has rescued me from a spider and Freya let me smoosh my face in her tummy fur so feel a bit cheerier!

Vinorosso74 · 31/07/2017 22:46

She's there until next Monday so 2 weeks and 2 days in total. I could email or call them for an update, it's part of our vets so any problem they'd be in touch. She's quite happy with the staff and they know her well.

EachandEveryone · 31/07/2017 23:15

That's good then. I had another catsitter disappointment but the girls are happy enough. It's nice to get away even though you miss them.

Yes that homegrown catnip is really powerful isn't it and she hasn't had it for Afew days! The meerkat is on a spring she loved it. I'm looking forward to us all sleeping together tonight.

EachandEveryone · 31/07/2017 23:17

My friend also had a Juno who died in the same way and nobody told her that's why she uses collars for her cats from then on she said not everyone bothers to go to the vet

cozietoesie · 31/07/2017 23:17

Would your lodger not do the 'sitting'?

EachandEveryone · 01/08/2017 00:02

He would but he's only a teenager here for the summer it's the poo thing I already tried to explain to him tonight. The box is massive and he never knew that's what's it's for he visibly cringed. He's lovely with them both maybe I can go through it again.

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 00:04

Perhaps - if you have to go away - you should try a regular pet sitting service? (And when your lodger leaves, have somebody else who can actually do it.) Smile

EachandEveryone · 01/08/2017 01:12

The last two have beem from a pet sitting service the first tried to tell me twice a day was too often and the second barely took the poo out of either of the trays. Both came recommended.

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 01:21

Ha! I hope you gave them their character?

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 13:29

Ollie is having a gaze before I move off the sofa

With a gaze like that I'd stay on the sofa. This might require some bladder training, but it would be worth it.

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 14:00

Sadly work calls! He's begrudgingly moved with a quick glare at me

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/08/2017 14:02

Well something has to pay for his Dreamies addiction ....

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 14:07

He won't touch them now Hmm
Bloody fickle cat. Stable cat is getting fat on his rejected food

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/08/2017 14:17

Fresh tuna?
Organic chicken breast?
Sushi?

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 14:38

He likes roast chicken. No fish Grin

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/08/2017 14:53

Well, that's the next week's treats sorted ... until he changes his mind. :)

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 15:28

He's dug his claws in Blush
Had to pick him up as he wouldn't come in and unneeded to go out. He screamed all the way in and sunk his claws in my arm
