My kitten died today

It was my fault. A complete accident, but my fault. I don't think I've ever felt so guilty. I only had her a really short time, I can't believe this has happened. I would pay a million pounds to turn back the clock by an hour. Her sister is looking for her. My 2 year old will be looking for her tomorrow. It must have been such a horrible way to go. I wanted to give her the best, most happy long life I could possibly imagine. Now I think I should give up her sister as I'm obviously not careful or responsible enough to have a pet 😢😢😢😢 I'm the most stupid, awful person! My poor baby deserved such better care. She was so funny and friendly and loving and she was settling into our family so well. We loved her. Her sister was much shyer and always looked to her for guidance 😢 I can't stop crying, for both of them. I really don't want to go into it, but it was a horrible way to go. Some things on google says it would be really quick, some said it would have took 20 minutes. I can't stop googling and thinking about my poor girl. If love could bring her back, it would. I actually feel lower than I've ever felt knowing I brought this pain to the most gentle perfect baby kitten. I'll miss her for the rest of my life.

This is terribly terribly sad op I sobbed when u wrote what happened BUT it is an accident I can't imagine how crap u are feeling because u are human and you loved him/her try not to be too hard on yourself Sad I'm not sure whether I would get another I think I'd just focus on the one u have it will soon forget about the other and cats are solitary animals studies show they prefer being on their own. The pollen from Lillies is one I have only found out about 2 months ago when my kitty was super poorly I could not fathom what was wrong and then my vet said about lillies and we had them in house I will never have them now x

OP, I'm so sorry to hear about your kitten. When one of our cats was a tiny kitten she was playing on our window sill with the cords of the blind. She slipped and was hanging by the neck with the cords wrapped round her neck. Luckily I was in the room and managed to grab her but if I had turned around or not been there she would have died because I hadn't thought to put the cords out of reach. Wouldn't have even occurred to me (and I've lived with cats my entire life). What I am trying to say is these things happen even to the most experienced and careful owners. It is obvious you had no intention whatsoever of hurting her, this was the definition of a tragic accident.

I'm really glad the new little ginger kitten is working out with the other kitten, I think they are happier with a mate to play with when they are tiny - even if they end up ignoring each other when they are older like two of mine! In fact the non-related ones get on better.
Take care Flowers

Littlemiss - I had no idea about lily pollen either.
