Tiny Dumped Kitten

The downside of rural Italian life.

Another sod decides the local English soft touch is the place to dump an unwanted kitten. I went to the loo and heard screaming from the back garden. It's far too small to have climbed over itself. At least this time it isn't in a plastic bag.

(former) Tiny Dumped Kittens 1-8 have been living with me for between 13-5 years. I cannot do 9 cats. I am already enough of a cat slave.

My vet (also my mate), has already messaged me saying I can put up a poster in her studio. Again. But my past posters did not work. Anybody good at heartstrings tugging text and design that can help me create a poster that will maximise my chances of finding this tiny scrap a good home ?

Our one local cat charity is permemntly packed to the rafters and in the past they have been determinedly guilt tripping when I have taken them dumpees. Like I am the meanest person ever if I don't want to be utterly overrun by cats. So that is a non starter. If I go there I'll come away convinced I deserve to go to hell if I don't keep it.

I need a shit hot "good home wanted" poster.

And for tiny kitten to stop looking at me with big, mournful eyes. With added little fluffy tail.

And for DS to stop trying to name it. Doesn't even look like an Emma. Might not even be a girl.

NotEmma has at least escaped the "drowned in a bucket" fate of so many tiny unwanted kittens here. Can anybody help me capitalise on her "less than averagely awful" luck and maximise her/his chances of being somebody's spoiled moggy for 20 contended, spoiled rotten years ?

I will go and try and take a picture to help the creative juices flow. But NotEmma is quite scared and is under the duvet, curled into DSS's armpit. And my iPad does not have a flash.

Utterly gorgeous OP and so friendly. If I was in Italy I would have him (I also think Emilio rather than Emma) in a heartbeat.

Well done you for taking care of him. And silly students to miss out on a lesson and the chance to meet the cutest kitten in Italy.

Melassa · 20/05/2017 15:29

Love NotTrevor.

Yes, the twins were super weird, weren't they? My Milanese DP reckoned there was some inbreeding there, as there apparently always is anywhere more than 5km outside Milan according to him. I did found it hard to disprove his theory with the twins. Do they still live there? Or were they propelled to stardom and ended up on Isola dei (non) Famosi?

Melassa · 20/05/2017 15:30

Did find! SpaG standards gone downhill with autocorrect as well

LarkDescending · 20/05/2017 15:38

I am officially in love with Emilio. Those big blue eyes!

SoupDragon · 20/05/2017 17:40

Do you ship to London?

0nline · 20/05/2017 19:34

Trevor cannot be shipped due a design fault. He has a very loud mieow which goes off relentlessly if you leave him alone for a millisecond. Even if you sneak off while he is asleep. EasyJet would refuse carriage due to noise pollution.

Have sinking feeling that silly students will actually get to meet Trevor. DH has gone all soft (also thinks that Trevor is the the English for Treasure Hmm ) and keeps saying "povero povero piccolino" with that look on his face that means he has got attached despite strict instructions to be all Alpha Male and Hard Nosed to keep me in line.

VetMate has told me to drop by on Monday afternoon cos she can't make it tonight before she buggers of to a mountain. By Monday afternoon DH will by putty in Trevor's little paws and my poster likely redundant.

Melassa Twins achieved local notoriety, but not their longed for national fame. One deffo still here, often see her in the supermarket. Very frail now. She wasn't well even before the murder, and both her sister and mother had a reputation for oddness that predates PhotoGate.

I have videoed Trevor being cute on the perch he prefers to sleep on, with a toilet roll for scale.

you're resigned to the fact that Trevor is staying aren't you?

HemanOrSheRa · 20/05/2017 20:29

Ha! I knew it! I heard you 'Are you purring for me baby?' And 'Ooh look at that lovely belly' Grin.

0nline · 20/05/2017 20:35

I am resigned to the force of the hive mind.

How can one poor woman stand tall and stay strong when pitted against you lot and a tiny spotted belly ?

and I never said any of those things. 'Twas interference on the video, static, that just sounded like I said that. But didn't. And if I did it was involuntary .

Trevor has leaned to jump. Somewhat randomly. Very high.

I've got a friend in Gallerate. She has my address and will post the kitty to me Grin.

OutOfBlueComesGreen · 20/05/2017 21:49

Trevor is a beauty. Keep him. Once you've got 8, another makes no difference. No difference whatsoever.
You should change his name to YANBU.

happyhebe · 20/05/2017 21:56

Op, you have got this all wrong. You don't choose whether to keep NotEmma, she has already decided that she is keeping you.

ElizaDontlittle · 21/05/2017 06:49

NotTrevor has to stay til he's finished the expensive kitten food - else you'll just have to have another kitten to eat it all up. and by then he'll have his gorgeous paws well under the table and even you will have forgotten he was ever not there
He is absolutely gorgeous, btw - and looks the picture of furry purry health Grin

0nline · 21/05/2017 07:49

Well you lot have a supporter in the shape of my sister. Who Facetimed with NotTrevor for half an hour last night and basically ignored me while insisting the camera followed the exploits of a v. naughty little kitten.

Anyway, we have come to a decision about the Insomniac Tiny Trevor.

His name is Trevor Wilfredo Ugo

He is here for now

If the feelers already sent out via selected Whatsapp contacts bear fruit, he will go an live in a non multi cat setting. Because I think that would be the optimum solution for him.

There will be no poster in the vets because DS had a shit fit about the pit bulls breeder up the road seeing Tiny Trevor Poster and taking him to feed to his dogs. I believe this to ben extremely unlikely, since they are not bred to fight and the guy seems OK. But DS has made this his red line (for reasons of minimising Trevor's potential departure) and ... fine.

Trevor has weed on DS's bed to say thank you.

So it is 99.9999% likely he will stay. Compared to the 99.8888% when I first posted.

Trevor is v. cute but v. naughty. And as think he has never been exposed to a diggable surface. May have lived somewhere with only hard floors, like an outhouse with a concrete floor. Does not understand litter. Doesn't dig in it, even in a sort of "ohhh have an instinct even if I don't need the loo right now" sort of way. I have to get under DS's bed cos I think he has gone to the loo under it. This is something we have to resolve and fast.

Trevor had duck pate (for posh kittens) for breakfast.

He is also whinging like mad if left alone for a millisecond. DS and I are on shifts to stay with him.

I love strongly like him.

Trevor likes playing with NotPringles tube.

It's not straight so rolls erratically when batted. This is great fun until it gets blocked against something. Then mega whinging happens until human slaves move the obstruction.

When you've lost the kitten, look in the NotPringles tube. Just the right size to get in and struggle a little to get out of Grin

Glad you've owned it OP - who wouldn't love such a cutie!!

Supermagicsmile · 21/05/2017 08:12

Human slaves Grin I love it lol

bluetongue · 21/05/2017 08:19

Aww, notpringles photo is adorable. Also shows just how tiny the little devil is.

SoupDragon · 21/05/2017 09:21

He is here for now

He is here for now ever

abbsisspartacus · 21/05/2017 09:32

I think he looks like a Reilly

frankie001 · 21/05/2017 10:19

My sister did the same with a kitten she fostered. She was known as "she isn't staying". She stayed.

0nline · 21/05/2017 10:25

Trevor needs training not to scratch/bite us. Never had one of these, but am thinking it could serve a duel purpose of giving him scratch time and being a "You did an enormous poo IN THE LITTER BOX !! Good, good, good little boy !!" present.

Just not sure of the tiger pattern. Potentially causing camouflage issues.

Do cats actually use these ? None of mine have ever seemed that interested in anything actually made for cats. But Trevor is bouncier than your average kitten. Suspect he may be part kangaroo. He also love climbing and I'd prefer to redirect that onto structures not containing blood vessels.

One of the 4 cats we've ever had uses a scratching post. The other one we currently have prefers the carpet 😬 I think it's pot luck.

frankie001 · 21/05/2017 11:17

#online# this her during her 'not staying' era. We were doomed!
