Tiny Dumped Kitten

The downside of rural Italian life.

Another sod decides the local English soft touch is the place to dump an unwanted kitten. I went to the loo and heard screaming from the back garden. It's far too small to have climbed over itself. At least this time it isn't in a plastic bag.

(former) Tiny Dumped Kittens 1-8 have been living with me for between 13-5 years. I cannot do 9 cats. I am already enough of a cat slave.

My vet (also my mate), has already messaged me saying I can put up a poster in her studio. Again. But my past posters did not work. Anybody good at heartstrings tugging text and design that can help me create a poster that will maximise my chances of finding this tiny scrap a good home ?

Our one local cat charity is permemntly packed to the rafters and in the past they have been determinedly guilt tripping when I have taken them dumpees. Like I am the meanest person ever if I don't want to be utterly overrun by cats. So that is a non starter. If I go there I'll come away convinced I deserve to go to hell if I don't keep it.

I need a shit hot "good home wanted" poster.

And for tiny kitten to stop looking at me with big, mournful eyes. With added little fluffy tail.

And for DS to stop trying to name it. Doesn't even look like an Emma. Might not even be a girl.

NotEmma has at least escaped the "drowned in a bucket" fate of so many tiny unwanted kittens here. Can anybody help me capitalise on her "less than averagely awful" luck and maximise her/his chances of being somebody's spoiled moggy for 20 contended, spoiled rotten years ?

I will go and try and take a picture to help the creative juices flow. But NotEmma is quite scared and is under the duvet, curled into DSS's armpit. And my iPad does not have a flash.

How's Trevorina NotEmma doing?

Yep, she was always a keeper! I must admit though I still prefer the name NotEmma above all else. Grin

I'm also with Heman, I'd totally pay money to come and play with your cats. Perhaps you could set up a cat holidays B&B.

I think you should revert to NotEmma. It's a brilliant cat name!

Hebe..yes, cats mostly do get their water from food though Ernie is on dried. He does like to drink, so the fountain was a good buy. His face when OH turned it off accidentally was a picture. He also seems to of commandeered the outside water feature

There must be a cat rescue community in Italy that can help more generally. I also second the idea of your vet doing a free neuter drive- maybe do some crowdfunding for it. Get your ds into it.
You know the kitten is staying, right?

I love that water fountain, Oldraver! Wonder if my cat would use one? She drinks very little water but vet said she will be getting plenty via her wet food.

Herman

I'll buy you the ticket.

I'm shattered. As often happens the anti worming meds have caused the runs. Ow fuck claw in ear bugger. So I am escorting Trevor to the water regularly and finger waggling to encourage hydration. Your paw does not belong up my nose. Stoppit. We are also experiencing sleepiness, which means constant serviellence to avoid any morerolling off of ill chosen snooze spots. My hair is crap enough without you chewing it to shreds. This snoozing is followed by waking up and going hell for leather to make some serious attempts to climb Big Things. Occasionally involving rescue. Often incurring gentle tellings off and (mostly ignored) redirection. Leave the plastic alone. It's like having the world's smallest toddler run riot. And I am OLD. And KNACKERED. and .. I do not want your rather smelly bum hovering near my nose while you try and read what zi am writing about you on mumsnet get off my fingers nothelpj f

Yay! Trevor is in the Litter Tray. I can't help thinking that you are missing a money making opportunity here 0nline. You have cats, a delicious girl kitten called Trevor, you live in Italy. I, for one, would pay you to come and stay and look after your animals Grin.

OMG she has a spotty belleh!

I want a cat with a spotty beleh.

If you did wan to get rid you could claim he is Bengal cross and charge a fortune - but I know you would not sell your latest baby.

Yes indeed, 0nline, sometimes it's very comforting to remember the little joys in life like fuzzy, wobbly, blue-eyed kittens and the people who are kind to them.

Will do. Smile

Will be nice to look back and she how she grew and developed. Taking the sweeter moments of life and putting them somewhere where they can be resisted seems like a good plan today.

DD, DS, DH and I have all been cooing over Trevor's latest videos. Do please ask for this thread to be moved to The Litter Tray 0nline because your posts are too funny and Trevor is too gorgeous for it to disappear after 90 days.

Js Oh I like that one. I shall waggle Trevor under DH's nose lots before I share the price Grin

Green If it is any consolation MateVet had to peer a couple of times before pronouncing with confidence.

DH felt a nike box was an undignified toilet for Trevorina (This nickname has not been offically approved, he is just trying to Italianize her by stealth) so rather than wait for tomorrow for the pet shop to open, he drove to the big store he hates the most, the chain DIY place, and got her a nice, tasteful cream litter box and posh litter.
I think if against all odds somebody does come forward to give her a one cat home, he is going to be utterly gutted. Not seem him quite so smitten before. He usually complains for much longer when a new kitten gets dumped on us.

We have had a break through with Trevor's drinking problem. There's lots of sneezing, snuffling and being Very Surprised that water is wet... but Jove I think she's got it !

Oh dear, I shan't take up sexing kittens as a second career! Well, the cutest kitten in Italy, aka Trevor, has most definitely fallen on her feet with you. But I don't think anyone who watched your videos really thought she would be leaving.Wink
