We have the most gorgeous little foster cat pregnant with 4/5 kittens. When she came on Friday I thought she was the most pregnant looking thing I'd ever seen in my life (and I work with pregnant women) and that she must be about to give birth but no sign yet.
She's very relaxed in our spare room and is still eating loads and using the litter tray, we got excited last night because she was licking herself but it appears that was just a bath. She is MASSIVE poor thing.

Let's have a pool. When do you think she'll give birth?

Great God that is one big belly! Poor girl.

SentientCushion · 16/05/2017 09:37

We've given her our entire spare room, we've got three boxes with towels and blankets, two futon cushions and lots of towels. She's not looked at any of them and seems determined to get into our blanket chest lol x

SentientCushion · 16/05/2017 22:28

No updates so far, she's still eating and pooping and purring away. Shes seriously big now though.

Poor girl.

cozietoesie · 17/05/2017 12:24

Are you absolutely certain it's only 4 or 5 kits?

Maudlinmaud · 17/05/2017 12:28

Our farm cat growing up had nine kittens bless her, sadly they didn't all survive. She does look rather rotund.

SentientCushion · 17/05/2017 12:31

Well to be honest I'm just going off what I was told by the cats protection coordinator who gave her to us. She had a scan last week to check her kittens were ok as she was so malnourished and so young, apparently the vet said then it was 4 or 5 kittens she could see but that's second had information.

cozietoesie · 17/05/2017 12:32

4 or 5 'she could see'. Harrumph.

At that size, I wouldn't be surprised by 7 or 8.

Confused

Oh goodness me that's going to be quite the brood!!!

Well. You'll find out soon enough. Smile

SentientCushion · 17/05/2017 12:37

I dunno she's still not showing any signs of queening. She is eating like a horse and is very irritated that we are keeping her on her own, she still desperate for hugs. She's irritable but gosh wouldn't you be.
